I tried this, still having trouble in Act 2 with graphic glitches (stretched artifacts etc.) and crashes, both upon entering new areas and randomly. Must have been the patch because it was fine two days ago. I hope you can get this worked out, I love your version! :)

There are new animations so now we may be pushing things a bit more.

I also had the graphic glitches yesterday afternoon and searching through the forums, it looks like VSync should be ON. I had everything disabled including VSync.

I turned VSync ON this morning and played my Act 2 ranger through killing Oak and then the waterfall caves through the pyramid and had no problems. My laptop doesn't seem as warm either.

It can't hurt to try, unless you already had VSync on.

I gave it a go, but unfortunately it still doesn't work. :( I'm still having issues with both graphics and crashing. Is it just me, or did the patch bug out the client?
I am looking into your issues.

I am having some issues after 0.9.10c update as well! I will update the client if I am able to fix the issues.

Keep posted, I will let you all know if I can fix some of the wine issues!

Thank you! I really appreciate all your hard work. :)
What version of Wine is your PoE running?

Right Click the Application and show Package Contents, and launch the Wineskin application inside.

It should say at the bottom:
Wrapper Version: (version) and Engine: (version)

I have noticed that WS8Wine1.4-rc3 has graphic issues, so if that is the version you are running you should change it to 1.4 instead

It says Wrapper Version: Wineskin 2.5.5 and Engine: WS8Wine1.4

I played for about 3 hours straight and just at the very end (Prisons Gate -> Shipyard) I started getting graphical glitches, still almost playable but that was with VSync on, Not FullScreen (1152x720), all Act 1. The top left corner was pretty warm (not hot) so it seems like its def related to overheating; at least on my end... Sux 'cause that means I'll need to buy a PC just to play PoE! :-/

Edit: oh and the same config as @Corg posted. Tomorrow I'll try the WS9v1.5.5 engine and see if it's any better.

Reading a few other threads, we might get better FPS in Not FullScreen... I'll test that too...

Regardless - THANK-YOU for the package and download, hope I can catch you in-game sometime!!

I know very little about WINE so if this is a really stupid question... Sorry....

Can we install a specific video driver? Nvidia in my case and would that even help?

Update: I found this on the Wineskin forum....

You cannot use Windows device drivers. This isn't a Windows emulator, its providing native libraires that the software needs to run on OSX... its still OSX not Windows. Anything you want to run that requires a Windows driver will never work.

Now I know... :)

Reading through the feedback forum, a lot of PC users had to stop playing for fear of damaging thier video cards.

I played again afor about 2.5 hours today with WS9v1.5.5 in full-screen w/VSync ON before I started to get the GG's (graphical glitches).

Now that I know to press F8 to grab a screenshot I'll try and do that. Otherwise I guess I should plan on about 10 minutes of downtime (shutdown and restart) every 2 hours.

Sux because after an hour or so of playing in a group we just start getting a good rhythm... I guess it could be worse... at least my MBP doesn't blue-screen... ;)

You can install PhysX Drivers for NVidia but I doubt that will do any thing. This game does not require for PhysX Drivers.
