You are correct that I am a D3 'hater' although I will be purchasing and playing the game. Your point is still moot. Disliking the inventory system from WOW is not a logical fallacy. Not wanting to apply the same inventory system used in every WOW clone is also not a logical fallacy. So where is your argument?

Sigh...

It's no use to try to explain it to you

Sigh....

Because you can't. There is nothing to explain.

I think everyone in here needs to pull their heads from their asses and realize that the current loot/backpack system is perfectly fine. Learn to manage your inventory space, take only the necessities with you, portal back to town when you need to sell off junk, and leave all the other stuff in your stash. Seriously, it's not that god damn complicated. This is actually one system that doesn't need changing.

Worst thing in D3 and all WoW-stye inventories is.... AWFUL 2D artstyle and design. I want BIG 2D item/armor/weaponry art - i dont get this in D3 - even item art on paperdoll is small and ugly. Much better one is in D2/TQ/POE.
Another thing is that fucked up item proportions make this even more visible.

Inventory in PoE is perfectly fine and beautiful (most 2D item art)

Good art is nice, but not if it compromises gameplay. Anyway, there's no particular reason why an adequate inventory can't be combined with decent graphic representations of items. But if that were not possible gameplay > graphics.

Its perfectly fine - for you; and I'm sure most people here have worked out how to port back to town to sell their stuff and probably don't need instruction on this.

But it's not perfectly fine for many others - and I don't imagine that people such as yourself would shed too many tears if the inventory size was increased: "Jeez! They've increased the inventory size!" /ragequit.

Even if it's "just fine" as it is, you must be able to say why it would be bad to change it if you want to make an argument against it.

But to the OP's point. how many extra rows would need to be added in order to solve this "problem"? 2 or 3? 4? 10? It will still end as a matter of choice, on what to pick up and what not to, you'll still need to go back to town or leave stuff on the ground.

This is my concern too. I totally agree with this and love how well Witt articulated this.

To restate my personal opinion more clearly, I want exactly 6 rows with the current number of columns and no more. Garrot's post does a good job of explaining why 6 rows is just so much more wieldy than the current 5. Of course 7 will even be better, but it's diminishing marginal utility and I honestly feel 6 is a nice place to draw the line.

Indeed it is 'just fine' as is. I would by no means complain if they added another row or two, in fact I am sure I would enjoy it. However Witt did make a very good point.

There really is no argument either way. I still think they should allow extra inventory space as a cash shop option. It is definitely an advantage in a way, but only in terms of convenience really and would be a good source of income I am sure.

If I tell you that I agree, will you change your mind?^^
