I think everyone in here needs to pull their heads from their asses and realize that the current loot/backpack system is perfectly fine. Learn to manage your inventory space, take only the necessities with you, portal back to town when you need to sell off junk, and leave all the other stuff in your stash. Seriously, it's not that god damn complicated. This is actually one system that doesn't need changing.

I also think the backpack is a bit small. A system where items only took up 1 slot (potions etc), 2 slots (weapons etc) would be easier to manage. Whatever the solution is i think it needs to be redone.

Agreed.
So you may go to play any generic mmo with WoW ripped backpacks or D3 with WoW-ripped inventory where two-handed sword is the same size than dagger, bacause casuals wotn "easier", bacause they dont like clicky clicky.
Leave HnS inventory-tetris minigame alone.
I personally think that D3 inventory is awful designed and has ZERO of HnS atmosphere. But it reminds WoW so i think this is the case - if something reminds wow it attracts casuals and this = money from RMAH.
Great design. :P
But stay away wiht this in PoE.
Thx.

Sigh.. If you are not capable of making an argument without using blatant logical fallacies, then please just stay quiet.

Question for you. How is not liking an '...inventory where two-handed sword is the same size as a dagger' a logical fallacy?
To help you out I will reference the definition of a fallacy....
a deceptive, misleading, or false notion, belief, etc
Pretty apparent that you have no idea what you are saying. The true logical fallacy there is a TWO-HANDED SWORD BEING THE SAME SIZE AS A DAGGER.
If you are not capable of critical thinking please stay quiet.

Its not even the worst thing btw.
Worst thing in D3 and all WoW-stye inventories is.... AWFUL 2D artstyle and design. I want BIG 2D item/armor/weaponry art - i dont get this in D3 - even item art on paperdoll is small and ugly. Much better one is in D2/TQ/POE.
Another thing is that fucked up item proportions make this even more visible.
Inventory in PoE is perfectly fine and beautiful (most 2D item art)

That was not the fallacy though.
You don't see it because you are just as much of an avid D3 hater yourself.
Hint: It's the wow parts.

You are correct that I am a D3 'hater' although I will be purchasing and playing the game. Your point is still moot. Disliking the inventory system from WOW is not a logical fallacy. Not wanting to apply the same inventory system used in every WOW clone is also not a logical fallacy. So where is your argument?

Sigh...
It's no use to try to explain it to you
