[3.25] The Viper & The Mamba 🐍 Mamba with Bino | New demo video : bosses in 3 hits or less

Okay, so ignore my leveling advice in the PoB xD. Leveling with Viper Strike the first few acts is rough. Definitely want to grab an alternate skill. I'm using Flamewall + Rolling Magma. Gonna try switching to Viper Strike once I did Siosa and got myself some gems and hopefully a four link, but might have to wait until lab.

Do note; if you are a more skilled player you might be able to pull it off, but the damage is very low early on, I'd still say not worth it. If you're going to try though, make sure to grab 2 weapons right off the bat.

EDIT:
With the necessary gems it already becomes a lot more feasible. So after Siosa it's possible. Though after getting profane bloom it becomes a whole lot better. It's still not the fastest clearing skill around act 4, but it's pretty fun to play.

Also the transfigured gems is like 1c at the moment, easy pick up. The Princess is also 1c, another easy pick up

EDIT 2: Yeah, after you get the gems set up like the level 41 skill set and you get profane bloom and you get some decent weapons it really starts kicking off hard. So much fun to play. The pops are glorious. Cheers for the build Rashaan! Glad I picked it.

Finally started to play in 3.25 (Standard).

The Viper
Bad news, not playable at the moment. Issues with mana cost and Vaal Pact. Too dangerous IMO. It's a shame because the DPS is very high on the paper. I'll have to do some tinkering to correct these issues.
In any case, with no life recovery except from instant life leech, the build will be more dangerous to play.

The Mamba

Good news, the build feels badass as fuck.
* Ambush grants 20% more DPS but is not even required to one-hit kill bosses. A single hit was able to remove 90% of Phoenix lifebar with 30% more life.
* Grace has been nerfed, so I've kept it only for Vaal Grace. Replaced it with Flesh & Stone, which has been buffed. Less mana reservation troubles.
* No Tincture for the moment. Still need to test them.

I've started to work on the Viper.
To begin with, I've identified the main problem with 3.25 : The Covenant adds a high life cost to your skills, and with the Mahuxotl, you can only recover life through leech (meaning no life flask, no life on hit, no regen, no recoup).
So it's not viable to use them both.

From this point, the solution is to give up one of the two items.
The Covenant adds a ton of dmg (basically it can double your DPS), while the Mahuxotl is the item on which the entire defense system is based. I consider this shield the signature item of the build, so I think I'll give up the Covenant.

In a few days, I will release a video for the Mamba. I have started to craft some Tinctures. I'm using this one :



It adds 25% more DPS to the Mamba. If used by the Viper, it grants 40% more !

I'm really enjoying the build. Currently level 86 and currently working towards my second big cluster. Got my bino's already, got a rebuke of the vaal, Valako's sign and I've also been collecting items like ashes etc.

Prices for most items aren't actually that bad. The build isn't necessarily *cheap* but it's not like you need 200 divs of investment either.

Do you happen to have a crafting guide or something for the rapier offhand that you use in the PoB's?

Sadly no, I've found this sword via the trade search engine in PoB.

Made it from Lioneye's Watch to yellow maps with regular viper strike. Traded for mamba after not getting it from merciless lab and haven't traded or crafted anything since. Hitting a wall at tier 12 maps so probably gonna have to start trading but the build is definitely good stuff, my refusal to take time to upgrade items is the only set back.

Oh damn, we all know the Mathil effect, and Mathil is the boss. But Bino price will probably go through the roof.
Good thing that, in the worst case, the build can work with two Rebuke swords.

Yeah checked yesterday, Bino's were up to like 3 div. the Mamba gem was up to like 2-3 div.

The chaos clusters strangely enough were only 80c, which was not that much more expensive than what they were before.
