[3.25] The Viper & The Mamba 🐍 Mamba with Bino | New demo video : bosses in 3 hits or less

Hi, I am super interested in the build, particularly the mamba strike. But just wondering a few things.

1) Are the chaos pop's from occultist stronger than the prolif from pathfinders master toxicist? Would it be playable without Bino's on the Viper of the Mamba and still be good clear?

2) Can you combine the defences from the shiled and helmet (for res cap) on the viper strike of the mamba build? I feel like res capping on 2 items (which will likely be cheap this league due to 'vaal pact nerf'... but think its so strong. Can pick up sooo much damage and utlity for cheap on gear without res.

1) I don't know whether Profane Bloom explosions are better than PF Prolif. I guess not, since PF prolif is based on your strongest poison, which should be much more than the 25% of monster life of Profane Bloom.
I have started Mamba with two Rebuke of the Vaal swords (1c each). So Bino is a luxury, not a mandatory item.
Only recently did I replace one sword with Bino. A fellow player even plays Occy Mamba with Bino and no Profane Bloom. It works very well. Is the Bino prolif better than the PF prolif ? I don't know. But in any case, the dmg is sufficient to clear packs.

There is an encounter (3"05 in the video) with Expedition monsters that are curse immune. You can see that Bino's prolif does the job instead of chaosplosions.

2) You could try to mix the Viper and Mamba builds. If you use Mahuxotl shield, you will lose a lot of dmg for Mamba. But since you're able to easily cap your res with this Mahuxotl+Cowl of the Thermophile combo, maybe you can get back the DPS by other means. I'm using the Perfect Form armour : if you can use The Covenant, you can almost double your DPS. So that's a possible solution.

Pretty much. Build has a 5k max phys hit and 30k ehp from the end game POB. There is also an advanced set up to get 80+ ele and chaos res which should help. Also we use Ancestral Cry and a CWDT Steelskin. So while it's not entirely a glass canon, we're no jugg.

With The Covenant, dmg is truly impressive but it is full glass cannon mode.

With The Perfect Form, it feels much better and dmg remain very good.

EDIT: Also apparently all damage can poison tincture is back, is that something we want to use at all or is it useless for us?

Is there anything that might help with map clearing? That seems to be the biggest issue with the build im seeing besides being a glass cannon.

I know it won't reach bow clear absurdity ofc.

@grimfeather : besides the current features, I don't know how to improve clear. We can already explode several packs at once but movement speed is not uber-fast, this is true.

Well Lucky Chaos Dmg would be bliss/bonker/OP for sure !
Currently in vacations, on a laptop. I won't play before next week. We'll see how to add these runes if we can.

It's in the "data mine", I'm not sure how reliable it is, but I wouldn't be surprised. But bare in mind we now have that Mana degen when consuming tinctures which means we lose it's up time some times if we don't invest in tinctures on the tree. At least that's what I read in the reddit thread. I'll keep you posted on if I find it in game :D
