I've got my fingers crossed for a Unique that adds % Life Regen [not on Low Life], for a build I have shelved...

We'll have to see how it's implemented, but Frenzy with LMP is just a single attack with three projectiles, while (in theory) Frenzy with Multistrike would be 3 separate attacks in rapid succession. I'm guessing you'll generate a Frenzy charge for each strike with multistrike.

Viper strike with multistrike and power charge on crit and the Addler's Touch notable sounds like it could be pretty crazy...

If this is true, Splash would mildly useless in functionality and absolutely boring support gem.
It would be also be outrageous to have a limitation to mana users only. 2nd skill introduced that exclude Blood Magic users, this time completely without any reason.
ive been lookin for a support gem for double strike on my life leech mara. multi strike sounds like it amazin. its great for tankin whatever. i havent touched support on that for mana cost yet just because its so good for life leech.

as far as aoe skill ...u sacrificed ur whole mana pool for blood magic just because u dont wanna see a blue ball or use mana pots. did u not think there would be other sacrifices in the game later? fliker strike mara is gonna eat everything now!

i heard someone mention that power siphon will be moot after the power charge on crit support but there arnt any other wand attaks....where are the wand attaks out there?

to be honest id rather see the aoe skill hit like lightning arrow within a range ...not aoe just hit x+1 amount of targets as it lvls.

My take on the patch,
Voll's wont be useless - the new support gem will probably start with 30% chance to give a power charge and go up to 50% at level 20. Thats an ok gem but you cant expect to maintain power charges permanently this way. Anything more than that negates voll's completely.

Melee splash - for this gem to be effective it must have the same splash as ground slam or cleave. You cant really make a cookie cutter with less aoe than that and you are still a melee.

Multistrike - Probably a damage reduction of 50% considering it deals 3 attacks. Hopefully its gonna function like flicker strike to save some time on the targeting.

All in all thnx ggg you are doing a great job :) keep it up!

really nice supports.

Melee AoE is needed sooo much and the main reson why melee currently is so much worse than ranged builds.

New ways to get Power charges is good too and melee with Voll's was more or less unplayable because Volls simply is low lvl crap with no defense at all...
Hope the new support gem only works with melee skills. Especially casters have enough ways to get power charges and crit chance...

AoE raduis gem...
I waited so long for this. Now I definately will make my shield charge build.
Also Dominating/Infernal Blow will be so much more viable with this I think.

Multistrike gem...
Also reminds me of of D2 zeal. Nice, but sadly there are no real "on-hit" Effects in PoE.
(Zeal was so nice in D2 because you could have static on hit, curses on hit, crushing blow, fireball on hit...) So I am not that enthusiastic about that in PoE.


I dont think that these gems are so OP like it was said in the official post. It is nothing else than a chain or a fork...
If it is OP then because of OP high end gear (like shavronne or 6L stuff) wich makes every build OP. Imho build and skills are totally overrated in PoE anyway.
This game is more gear dependent than most players admit. (imho the build/skill almost doesnt matter at all if you have e.g. a Shavronne as caster or an lion's eye bow + fitting gear)

Seems weird? Have you tested it?

I can see why Arctic Armor doesnt work because its a stand alone skill and says in the description that it drains mana. (Although imo this should most certain work with blood magic, assuming its a bug)

But splash is a support gem. Surely it'll just have the same mana cost multiplier found on every other support gem, which all work with blood magic.
