All those wonderful combos people posted including new support gems and how that will be imbalanced...
It is quite obvious that new melee support gems will only provide additional damage, ie. splash will be % of main attack damage done to small area and multistrike will copy the main attack used most probably with damage effectiveness penalty. I doubt that GGG will make new support gems and their damage to carry attributes of the original attack. Multistrike will not generate more charges for Frenzy and Splash from Dominating Blow would not convert all monsters kill by the splash or shortly after. |

Why wouldn't effects carry over? I imagine splash will be similar to LMP for melee attacks.

I'm thinking that splash will probably only carry damage but multistrike will be able to have all the properties of original attack, like raising undead if on dominating blow or exploding dead foes if on infernal. Now, it will probably be hard to apply the effect on more than one enemy as secondary blows carry over only after the primary taget died, so it probably won't be easy to kill the original target and the next one if the support applies a hefty damage penalty, you'd have to weaken the group in some way first.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" Yup, we're pretty much covered now You can get endurance charges on kill and for free, you can get frenzy on kill and on hit, you used to be able to get power only on kill with a wand so they were pretty much wandslinger only, but now it's all good. Uniques aside, that is. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

The only type of charges people had a hard time stacking were power charges, there are discharger builds that acquire 10+ charges and expend them several times per encounter with hardly any trouble. Enduring Cry is laboring and clumsy mechanic that is also vastly incapable of fulfilling its function in situation you need to quickly acquire charges. You are not getting free endurance charges IF you use Warlord's Mark curse, it comes at a cost of much more useful even instrumental curses to melee success such as Enfeeble, Temporal Chains or Vulnerability. You cant even compare " You already have similar situation implemented in Frenzy and LMP interaction. You do not get more Frenzy charges by hitting several targets or piercing first target, you just get one per Frenzy used, condition is to hit a target as well. |
