I understand why they don't want them, it's because this could ramp quite easily into a huge trollfest.
I'm moderating myself by respect for the dev, but all the crap I can read about D3 on this forum is ridiculous. btw, a simple way to avoid this problem would be to add a feature to this forum to "ignore" users. maybe create a new forum tab. "The Drunken Wilderness - Post at your own risk" Think .. a place .. where flamers run wild on the fields ! bashers grow on tree´s ! and fan-boys have tiny villiges. If there was a forum tab specifikly for doe things, i would just go there now and then to enjoy the life of crazy gamers and join in on the disscusions ^^ Cant have to much Junk in your Stash

GGG doesn't want to censor people simply because they have different views on things. That's what other game studios do.
If the topic is entirely about D3, then it belongs in Off Topic. If the discussion is pertaining to PoE, then it's not off topic at all. Anyway, like tpapp157 said, removing all of the threads would just result in another being created. They pop up all the time because people don't know how to search for a relevant topic, or they simply refuse to do so. Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.

People want to praise PoE; I get that. And so they should, it's very praiseworthy. And this is PRECISELY the place to do it.
Unfortunately, the easiest way to praise something new is to place it in relation to something 'old' and see how it fares. kodr, I...know it's all a bit much, and that you've seen it all before, but I'd ask that you please allow people their chance to get that praise out of their system in a relatively safe and harmless environment, i.e. here. It is utter hyperbole on your behalf to say that this praise, even if it takes the form of 'other-game-bashing' in its zeal, is killing the game. The game hasn't even truly been born yet. A lot of people have expressed interest in its conception and birth, many of whom probably never come to the forum and are just as likely to kill global chat by reflex upon first logging in. Let's not start picketing the software-abortion-clinic quite yet, okay? I said a lot more but deleted it, because I think that's the brunt of what I want to say here. Account sharing/boosting is a bannable offence. No ifs, ands, or buts. No exceptions. Not even for billionaires.
Post this sentiment publicly and see how long it lasts here. |

PoE is so uninteresting there's nothing to say about it? Instead of promoting this negative attitude, the beta members and mods should promote the game, but it seems there's really nothing to say. And people bashing D3 are equally clueless about it, they're just repeating usual rants like good sheeps... but they don't even know the game. Well, both games it seems...
