Modders, please remove all diablo threads to Off Topic part of forum
Account created 4 days ago, huh?
it's been like that for a month since I created mine. And I can tell there's some kind of turnover with people leaving. PoE forums ignore list script:

" It's the internet. Avoiding trolls is a losing battle every where you go. I don' think much of what happens in the forums will impact the game if it's what players want because if examples from other games show us anything, the ratio of players posting in the forums versus those actually playing but not posting...it's very small. A very small percentage of a player base post on forums, so while a great community in forums isn't bad, it won't really impact the final result of the game much. "I would have listened... Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet? |

Thing is:
The almighty Blizzard 2 is deleting every post/thread about PoE, Torchlight 2 and Grim Dawn yet indies should tolerate viral advertising for D3? Doesn't sound fair to me. So I'm all fo deleting these threads or at least move them to the offtopic section. Personally I've experienced (mostly ingame) too much of all the Blizzardfanboys knowing nothing about the company they once were, trying to tell us how wrong we are and how Blizzard is still the same and whatnot... My pov on D3: dumbed down, consolelike kiddie game with gay graphics and p2w. |

" Yeah... can't save everyone... But the comparison with HoN is quite frightening, a bunch of elitist jerks who think their game is the best. PoV of everyone outside the game? The community sucks and it's pointless to try playing the game because of that. The main difference here is that PoE isn't a competitive PvP game, it may not impact the game as much as HoN. I am for removing this threads, because they gather a lot of trolls, and can easily go out of the hand. At least in off topic, it won't get that many attention, and new people that joined forum will not be struck with it.
About people not playing the game if community is bad, it could happen if you could not play the game alone. But because you can solo alone, i think it will not affect it. I don't know about HoN forum, but do they have moderators? Are they doing their job or not? |
|
I don't know what HoN exactly is my guess is Heroes of Newerth? Its a DOTA clone PvP and F2P so what sort of community did you expect? I've played the game myself for 5 freaking days till deciding I want no part of this "community".
The only fun you can have in DOTA games is when you are playing with your reallife friends other than that its so pointless. All D3 threads do is gather trolls and Blizzards 2 viral marketers. |

" Halvar is right, and tpappi you know it. These threads make me wanna create my own one, just for the sake of doing it, and you know it will not get nice. They belong to Offtopic. Act or get swarmed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drDs-Y5DNH8

The "don't give D3 free advertising" argument is rather dumb imo.
Diablo 3 is one of the most anticipated games in PC gaming history, and I bet that 99.9% of people on the PoE forums are fully aware of what it is and have most likely already decided if they will purchase it or not. Locking threads that's becomming complete trollfests is obviously a good idea (Diablo related or not), but censoring out anything reffering to D3 wouldn't be. Believe it or not I've seen many greatly constructive and non-fanboyish posts/threads that refference the Diablo franchise. IGN's:
Nemesis: "Stocktons". HC: "Magomedrasul" & "Stockton". |

" I dont ask to lock them, or delete them, only to move them to off topic. |
