[0.10.current] IR/US tri-ele dual wield [Video added]

"
this build has too many flaws to be honestly considerable. High crit and low hp pool combined with the lack luster physical damage reduction means you will likely explode first time you have to deal with phys reflect mobs in a map. you also plan on 120 skill points, something no honestly considerable build should be based around. 108 is the realistic target, 110 if you plan on taking all 3 skill point rewards.

There is a reason the majority of shadow builds use CI, your build revolves around making a stupidly long journy to go deep down to duelist area for very little useful gain.

you pick up a few more hp nodes and try to say it's a hardcore ready build while being quite obvious you've never actually tried end-game HC maps or even boss fights

sorry for being a downer about it all but honestly this build has no place on HC and honestly seems more like a "my first build" kind of thing...

Don't hold back sir, let it all out :)

I've been making builds for this game for almost a year now, as such I like build flavor, if you don't like it don't play it. Fairly simple honestly, also whats the point in an apology before or after a verbal "you suck l2p" kinda wasted.

Traps always have and always will handle reflect mobs, and the kicker is that's not even the only way to go about it.

New to HC you say... You know, not that it matters but I have played HC almost exclusively in closed beta and farmed MoC while there (have since moved to default due to increasing desync issues but that is neither here nor there). Perhaps these new map mods are harder, perhaps they are not.

To sum up, sorry you don't like the build. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out. Also if you want cookie cutter, a site for that exists so... ExilePro it up. In the future, maybe consider what you are saying about something that someone spent time on putting together.

edit: One more thing just so we are clear, I plan with 120 to get an overall view of how it looks when it is completely done, I work backwards from there, and take things as I need them while leveling. If you will excuse me now, I'd like to get back to the people here who actually like and play the build. Thanks for the bump.

I don't get why some folks find time to bash others' work really. SMH.

If you're enjoying something, then stick with it and leave others be. Works right?
Finally some new toys to play with! :)

Added an IR variation to the main post.

Level 63 w/ spec changes

Changed the main page for a build with tons more survivability added IR/UA and more life. Use of cyclone is now much safer with this build even in merciless content.

A little update from my side:

i just cleared act3 merciless with darks build (ok, its a bit different, but the base is the same. i only choose some other dmg nodes).

The problem in merci isn the build, but your gear. we found out, that its better to have more base d/r than evasion (thats why we changed to IR). and its absolutly important, that u max your resi in merci difficulty. you can feel a HUGE change from having 10% resi or 70% resi!

ah and one more thing: i killed a large pack some hours ago.... and dont even recognized that the "yellow" mob (and his sorrounded allies, too) had physical dmg reflection.

so, dont claim "this build is bullshit, and not possible in merci/maps"! IT WORKS!

one last words: because of the very huge passvi skill tree, there is no "best build for class XX" in this game. some are more survivability, some have more dps, and some are a compromise of both. i like this one, if u like another more, take your favorite, but dont talk bad to this one please.

Well said sir.

Truth be told I do miss arrow dodging but since we were down there anyhow the damage reduction gained from IR is quite helpful I've not even taken the Steel skin nodes yet with mine and running grace with a granite of iron skin puts me at roughly 75% d/r. Which is especially handy for physical reflects, mobs like perpentus, puncture, I am going to test after taking the steel skin buy the duelist start but I suspect that will be all we need to get 90% reduction.

For those having issues with resistances, simple turn off the damage auras and run a purity until or even after gear improves to raise the resist cap farther.

Another note: if you want to be an unkillable machine consider dropping any dagger nodes and grab the new unique claw as it works very well with cyclone.

Ok guys, i did my first maps today and i have to say: too easy XD
So i decided to farm some XP at the docks with some other players.
I switched from 6L Dual Strike (5k DPS) to a 6L Lightning Strike (3k DPS) to get some killing blows (for solo i still prefer DS and Cyclone). Also changed Grace to Haste, because most oft the partymembers have some defencive auras running.
The last 5-6 points i spend in one handed or dual wield dps based nodes, so im not relying on daggers anymore and got some nice dps boosts.

At the end im really really (yes, really!) sure that darks build is suitable for endgame content.
