Incinerate | 2 totems | CI | 2 curses | Awesome DPS with low gear requirement
Just an update on how powerful this build is solo: I successfully farmed Fetid Pool (L59 map) while at L51 with truly crappy self-found non-crafted gear, including a chest with no ES on it.
Also, thanks to this thread I'm now running with 4 zombies, which really puts things over the top. Basically, I don't do anything except run around and loot while my totems and zombies take care of business. Zombies also help against two of the more difficult mobs: Necromancers (since me spamming Raise Zombie prevents them raising their own zombies) and Flicker Strike mobs (since the flicker strike guys have 6 targets besides me to go after). Everything else so far is truly cake. I don't even have double curse yet, can't wait to use it. Also, I'm using the less than ideal Flammability instead of Elemental Weakness because I don't have Elemental Weakness yet. The rate of decline on the mob health bars noticeably increases with Flammability up. IGN:Tyrion_Abhorsen

I'd be curious to know just how good the wand/shield - wand/wand would have to be to really be better than a searing touch staff. +2 to incinerate would give a pretty flat 20% straight boost to incin damage, the ability to use such a chest as a Koam's if wanted and also a lot of people seem to be using fire traps as well and that 70% bonus burn damage is huge for FT. I'm certain the 2 weapons would be better but I'm also guessing it would have to be some pretty hefty/expensive pieces of kit?
I'd love to have a 5-6L staff and a 5-6L chest as well. I recently tried FT with chance to ignite/elemental proliferation and it completely decimated entire packs of mobs with one throw(In merciless) The trap would ignite several of them and you'd have Both ignite DoT And the Burn DoT running on most of the mobs and they literally melted like butter. I could see a fun 5L chest with FT/Chance to ignite/Elemental prolif/your choice/your choice or even a second FT in there. 70% bonus burn from the Searing touch + the 60% from nodes if you wish would make some pretty incredible bombs. Anyhow, just thinking out loud really :) Edit: Conc effect would be incredible in the above with the chance to ignite. The Ignite DoT would be pretty spectacular. " Nothing wrong with relying on FTs in addition to Incinerate totems. I do so myself. And Searing Touch really boost them nicely. I say go for it. |

hello first of all thx for your thread it is very helping to me
and i,'m not living used english country so understand my bad english :) anyway i have one question i do linking 11%added cold gem(i using 240chrom to make ggbbr...) but i can't feel monster is chilled so i find mechanic that chilling is happened when big dmg to monster hit so i think added cold is not efficiently to incinerate rather than when i change faster projectile i feeled more powerful how about my opinion IGN samsungissuck

First of all I love the build it just melts everything, doing my build a bit different to OP though, went the EB/HP templar route, allows me to run some auras for my zombies aswell as me.
I'm finding the same thing as Sincie, using added lightning damage, it was good through normal/cruel but now in merci it just doesn't shock even the white mobs. I bought a 16% quality added light and even picked up the 3rd node in static blows to no effect. I'm going to drop static blows, change added light for fire pen and added cold for either faster projectiles or culling strike. Best of all this approach will allow me to use a straight armour chest instead of Armour/ES, only need a RRGGBB. Mark_GGG 2012 If you put on your full plate mail, and I throw hundreds of toothpicks at you, you'll basically not feel it. I found my kryptonite with this build. level 80 now.
I ran 71 map temple. Piety is the boss. She just insta gibs your totems with her shock stacks. I tried a few things with no luck. I ended up just asking someone to help finish it with me (he died twice). If I had 6 link, Id have tried life leach but not sure if that would have mattered because they were down instantly almost....I do however think this will help tremendously with elemental reflect as I can do those maps, but they take me awhile due to constant re-summons. Picked that up. It dropped my dps down a bit but it allowed me to get rid of all the +dex/str nodes to take up other goodies for more resists and survivability. I have 6k ES, way over 80 resists so I can do some moving around now with gear. I can do maps with elemental weakness easier etc. Tooltip DPS on incinerate is 830ish (was 897 before the neck switch). Question... since totems are based off your gear/aura at cast, would it be prudent to double cast on high dps weapons, then switch to wand shield for resists?? just want to make sure how this all works :)
