GGG: Please reconsider a wipe or new league. Since the last league change/soft wipe there have been quite a large number of gameplay changes and new members added to beta. I've personally lost interest in playing for the last few weeks. Why you ask? It has nothing to do with ladder ranking (although im sure all the new members would love a chance to see how they stack up). It is primarily due to the game economy. There are already so many great items floating around and many players who control so much of the wealth that they can effectively manipulate the market prices preventing newer players from acquiring nice upgrades. This in and of itself isn't necessarily bad as this situation will come up in open beta and after release and there is nothing wrong with acquiring great wealth and manipulating market prices(it's actually quite fun to do).
However, I personally get much more enjoyment in being part of the early economy when godly items are still exceptionally rare and people are trading for items of all types as they level up their characters and begin to farm. Im sure many of you are reading this and thinking, "Hey its a beta idiot! You are doing it wrong, beta is for testing, not playing." I totally understand this point of view. In fact, wiping would help us test better. With so many new changes incoming a wipe would put everyone back to square one thus allowing GGG to see how the changes to drop rates, builds, skills, plus the influx of new players affects the game. If nothing else a wipe would bring a breath of fresh air back into the game and motivate others like me who are taking a break to get back into the game. |

I started at the end of feb. I would be disappointed with a wipe. I have enjoyed figuring out what things are the easiest to trade for and using that knowledge to acqurie what I want.
I have acquired 8gcp, ~40 orbs of fusing, a handful of other high orbs, a 5 link armor and a few other nice things. Not to bad for 2 weeks. I am saving up for 6 link armor and would be upset if all of this progress was lost. If the chars were wiped I would eessentially have to wait a much longer time to try out my build with 6 links. Regarding the wipe issue:
I agree that a new league would be great to give people a chance to play fresh characters. We have some upcoming item balance changes after 0.9.7 that will probably require a new league to get good feedback on them. It's something we'll look into doing probably a couple of weeks after 0.9.7 is deployed, but that's a vague guess so don't hold me to it :) On a side note, what do people think of the idea of a one-week league or something like that? Last time it was mentioned, there were concerns that it'd promote unhealthy gaming, but if there are no prizes then there's less reason to stay awake for a week. " There are minor changes, but nothing that will drastically change your overall maps. | |

doesnt make much sense tho :( only promotes competition between players who share accounts
maybe setting up dayly leagues of 2-5hours starting at specific/random times would be better |
