0.9.7 Status Update
Hiding auras makes PvP a nightmare to interact with.

If its possible, and they decide to make their visibility switchable, then this should only be valid if playing solo, and not for party or pvp!

I'm not talking that other players can't see, but a graficul option to disable it so you don't see it (it doesn't have to do anything with PvP and other players), because of things I said. Disabling shadows, does not disable shadows for other players, or am I wrong :).

" Why would you have to fight lower level monsters again? You can just stop at a new waypoint so you can go right back where you left off, shouldn't be a problem really. And besides waypoints are never far apart from each other, a few minutes at most. |
|
" There are always situations possible, where you'll have to reenter an area, nd this step by step lead to killing monsters "twice", collecting slightly more exp than while playing in one session... The distances between crossroads and chambers of sin or broken bridge waypoints could easily be too far to reach if you run out of time, also the way through the forest (before the camp) is sometimes very long and evem so the way from the waterfall to the next difficulty... If you play somewhat slow, even the decision to clear fetid pool before the arrival at the passage wp can end in a fresh instance of mud flats... invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" they r using what they rldy have u see rare mobs have those auras |
|
" Thinking that way you could ask for time compensation for anything, like unlucky loot drops, unfavorable random map layouts, too many physical/elemental reflect mobs, etcetera. All these things can affect how well you can gain xp at least as much as the above, but I can asure you that either way the best players will still come out on top because they are able to adjust and adapt to unfavorable circumstances quicker. :) |
|
" Of course you're right with this, but all these things are completely based on luck, a factor on that you have to have no influence (or at least very minor/only with 'equivalent' drawbacks - like choosing between rarity nodes and others) This is (for me) a complete different situation, compared to my thoughts: if I play (as example) 3 hours in a row, or 3 sessions of 1 hour (with the same char), and suppose to have identical luck in any aspects, the resulting experiences may differ noticeable only caused by the redo areas effect. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" I have actually played 3 sessions of 1 hour before under the same conditions as a normal 3 hour HC ladder run (I stop when '/played' reaches 3 hours). My personal best result still comes from such a 3 sessions/1 hour run (lvl 34.5 @ 3h played), it actually is mentally refreshing to have these pauzes and it keeps me sharper and more focused. You should try it too some time, it will probably surprise you. :) |
