Any ETA on fixing these ridiculous AMD FPS drops? (e: Nvidia cards affected as well!)
" Had the same problem, pretty much have same PC xcept my card is GTX670, FPS was 20-30 or less (on Vaal for example I had 15 FPS...stressfull) . Disabled the vsync and post processing and FPS jumped to 240 with all other options maxed. Dunno, fiddle with options, something there is messing up the performance. |

" PoE running on lower systems? LOL Seriously, that is just outright false. |

GTX 680 @ 132%, i5 3570k @ 4.3GHz, 8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz, Crucial M4 SSD, Windows 7, latest bios, firmware, drivers etc.
I also suffer with terrible performance in parties (15fps is my personal record on a Vaal kill, but I regularly drop down to 25fps in the Docks). I tend to use vSync as without the frame rate jumps to around 300 which pushes the GPU unnecessarily hard, which increase the temp and fan speed considerably (internal frame rate lock would be great, as external solutions cause tearing even with vSync). When playing solo it's generally fine, but you add even a couple of extra people and that's when the problem starts. The LA remake was a good start, now you just need to remake every other effect in the game :D | |

add me to this list of people suffering FPS problems. for me, i've done everything i can.
my early 2012 laptop here only uses the Mobile Intel(R) 4 series express... its a chip set in other words and no this isn't one of them fancy laptops that can use video cards >.> i run the game in window mode, all graphics at the minimum settings (why doesn't texture quality have a low setting? its just medium and high) and get lag in and out of multiplayer. not enough to be unplayable but its still pretty bad. worst i saw so far was earlier today when i had to convince a friend to stop spamming fire rain (witch) as it was slaughtering my FPS big time, actually lagged out due to that once. yeah, my crap laptop is low end and can't play this when the graphics actually don't seem to be ALL too advanced compared to D2 aside from these not being 2d art. i'm hoping to get a desktop sometime to replace this hunk of junk and reclaim windows XP if at all possible (currently using windows 7). |

i could do with a new computer but my current is good enough to run WoW, D3 and company of heroes on full settings without any trouble. ive started playing closed beta of MH too and my comp runs fine, even with 15+ other players around spamming their spells.
PoE though? nothing but OOS & fps drops still in beta and all but i think a lot of players will quit before the full release if these issues arent resolved, or improved |

@treos99
There actually is a way to set your texture quality below medium, however, it doesn't look very good. Go to the my Documents folder, there to my games, Path of Exile. There you should find a production_config.ini file or something like that. Open that and go to texture_quality. If you put in a greater number, your texture quality is lowered. Not sure if that helps though. |
