Any ETA on fixing these ridiculous AMD FPS drops? (e: Nvidia cards affected as well!)
With the last patch the fps seem to have went to hell... it's a shame to see a game suffer so much from optimization issues.

" Reviewing the thread, it seems you have Path of Exile using Intel HD Graphics, not AMD Chipset. If you're on a laptop, this probably means you have Switchable Graphics, and the Switchable Graphics Driver isn't detecting the Path of Exile client for whatever reason: this is both a problem with the driver AND Path of Exile. One of the things that GGG could do to help alleviate this problem, which also happens with Nvidia Optimus drivers, is to add in some of the fields to the Windows resource file for the Path of Exile executable, as this is what programs usually use to detect a process when its named something generic like "client.exe". Until then, you can also try using Resource Hacker yourself to add in one of the fields -- http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/ -- and then manually add it in your Switchable Graphics driver's control panel. |

Ok, I'll try to help here one last time.
Could you check which card your pc uses right now as it's primary gpu? To do this, just run dxdiag (in win7, go to the start menu, go to search programs and files, enter dxdiag and press enter). In dxdiag, go to the display tab and read what graphics card is mentioned under device name. If this is the radeon card, go ahead and install a hack that forces poe to start with it as mentioned by generalmx. If it's the intel card, you have to somehow force your pc to use radeon. If your pc does not want to switch to radeon, then the problem is entirely on your pcs side and ggg cannot do anything against it. If you can switch to radeon and poe doesn't recognize it, you'll have to wait until they fix it/install something that does the fix for you. |

" I used Radeon Pro to make sure PoE uses the Radeon card when playing. Still no changes.. Someone told me that eventhough the Intel card is listed as the adapter used, PoE is actually using the Radeon card, it just doesn't show it is using the Radeon one. |

You can finally add "Nvidia" to this thread's title.
Seems last patch broke the frame rate for everyone. Pre patch was dipping to 40 fps in docks on my 680. Post patch, AMD and NV cards dip as low as 15 fps in the same location. Also noticed the chat windows had a huge impact on FPS. Tested on HD7970 and GTX 680 @ 1920*1080. Win7-64 2600k @ 4.2 Ghz 8Gb Ram Sound Blaster X-fi fatality Titanium OCZ Vertex3 SSD No AA, trilinear filtering, Vsync on, textures high, shadows high, post processing off. " Hiho, i think ure almost my obi wan kenobi and im ure princess Leia. Having intelHD3000 and GT555m on my computer. Execute poe with geforce, but it definitely runs with my chipset (even if in the option panel GT555m is displayed...) knowing it from dxdiag. So you know my problem and apparently have a solution. BUT i dont understand how to use resourcehacker. If it can solve that issue, in which way? Could you post a quick explanation about how to use it? |

@springsteen
I have no idea what you have heard, but I know for sure that POE did list the intel card and did use it for me.. If you want to check whether only POE uses your intel card, or whether your whole pc does, run dxdiag, check under display. If there your intel card is listed, I am pretty sure all possible applications on your pc are running with intel, not with your amd card. You can also check online for various other ways to check which card your pc is using by default. If it's by default using radeon, then POE might be using it and display wrong, or it might really have a problem and with your card. If your pc is not by default using the radeon card, you will have to fix that before POE will run with it. @urkdum check your pms @Qmambyte a bit off topic, but it did not break fps for me, it improved it... |

" Thanks for the replies and your attempts to help all the people in this thread. I used Radeon Pro and forced PoE to use my Radeon 7670M card, no changes whatsoever. |
