Any ETA on fixing these ridiculous AMD FPS drops? (e: Nvidia cards affected as well!)
" In which difficulty? The problem doesn't really start until Merciless. This is when most builds start coming together and players can start spamming their skills with all the support gems they want. I just started a new play through and loved how smooth the game was... Then I hit Act 3 in Merciless and it was back to the slide show for me. |

It seems to be client related, to the builds with masses of auras, and particle effects, my machines no slouch but if I see a aura heavy build on screen with a million npcs and summoned mobs, the game totally falls over itself, but runs at 90+ fps all the time otherwise and in normal groups

if you are using laptop with optimus tech.(nvidia)
Try this. its work for me. Download Nvidia Inspector open N.Inspector and click Settings Button as you see. second step: After that "Apply settings" finally manually select nvida card and play. Sorry for bad english. |

This problem is easy to reproduce even on nVidia cards.
I believe it is due to a memory leak. Repro steps: 1. Start the game 2. Stand in town 3. Turn on the FPS display via F1 4. Leave the game running for a few hours. (I am trying to determine the minimum number of hours required.) If I leave the game running over-night my framerate will drop from 100+ down to < 60 when I check back the next day. Logging out, then relogging back in will have the framerate jump back up to 100+. Edit: Added notes about restarting the game to restore the frame rate. Oh wow I didn't even see these threads. I thought it was just me but I guess everyone is having FPS drops.
I've never had them until recently. My game will run smooth at 70-100 FPS then get these FPS "slow downs" and drop to 20-25 for a few seconds than go back to normal. It even does this when standing around in town too. Doing absolutely nothing. Last edited by Laere#2957 on Apr 10, 2013, 9:06:20 PM
