Yep a Ranger is closer to the key nodes. However, what I love about this game is that every class can play just how one likes to play. I'm a sucker for Shadows, therefore I made this build for Shadows. It can be done as a Ranger aswell :)

I'd be interested in a video where you display how you tackle close-quarter maps, like Vaal pyramid or the likes.

Oh, and I probably wouldn't even have tried the build if it wasn't Shadow based. I'm also a big fan of the class (:

thank you for your answers and i have a few further questions :)

-i have an unused shadow lvl 56 which have almost the same pasives like your build (i need about 10 regrets)

-on the itemside i have almost a complete set up for a bow ranger in this lvl range except a bow and a quiver

-can you tell me how many dmg/atack speed/links does a bow in this lvl range nead? (affordable ~max 1 exalt)

-will it be hard in the end to get a setup which is able to do maps? because my main (crit dagger sdhadow) needs so good gear to be a machine and finish a3 merciless.... will it be easyer with this ranger type?

-to the build.. you tell u want to get an a benefit of all stats, why u skill resolute technique and eliminate crit and speck mental acuity (near shadow starting area) who gives 20 int 30 crit chance? ofc in the build w/o lioneyes

does poison arrow work as main skill for this build? and what adjustment i need to do if not?

Unfortunately I can't since I rerolled my Shadow and started playing HC again :/ The tactic however would be, if you're not sure what's in there - drop a Spell Totem and let the Skeletons grab some aggro while you slowly but securely move in! Better safe than sorry :)

Aim for at least 4 link (this is perfectly fine btw). You want as high dps as possible. Find it as: (min dmg + max dmg)*attack speed

Like a bow with 77-198 dmg, 1.55 atkspd:
((77+198) / 2)*1.55 = 213 dps

A bow with 200+ dps should be very possible for lvl 56 :)

Everything is easier as range especially because you can get your friends to act as meatshields for you, so it shouldn't be too hard gearing for maps!

a last question, if a bow have also elemental dmg can i count this dmg like phys?

like a bow wit 20-40 phys dmg + 1-55 light dmg and 1.40 atack speed = [(20+1)+(40+55)]/2*1.40 ?

Yea, the elemental damage from the bow however won't benefit from the physical damage nodes you pick up, but it should still be great using!

Sounds great man. About your questions, I don't have an answer for you. I haven't really been doing any PvP at all in PoE yet, unfortunately! You'll have to try it out yourself :)
