[0.10.4] ashgod's physical bow guide
I tried creating a build like this for duelist, focusing a bit on ele damage as well, but primary on attack speed, check it out :D

" Not a bad idea mate, however, I don't think the Acceleration and Perfect Aim nodes are worth it go that far out from the original path. Instead I would focus a bit more on extra hp + Unwavering Stance, like you can see in my adjusted version of your build: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgQAmy0XHbe2jX7NmN7GvqfqYtJNbmn6scAPxLgZtNX4ytMs6d0NFSA6s1uvkAr8xYPbKk01hhjbZ6D8Sz8nuc2dqnTxh3bOcW6qbj0hYJ65Sn1sFjJ-rpMDlkCgpld6uDsoBS3vTjrhtz5gSzIJKLWI8caueu9giDwtdO1hUsT2n8sn7fPdrKoZLnKpWfPUj3zZwBq53ZBV8i_vDqeE51IaOFRJ7DhfP1fiKU935TKJ5CKCmwSztQQUTUVHogAy0biTDH0Qf8ae9kiMz1BQWGPG2PAfAnFDnA6tKaU= //Outdated My Shadow Low Life guide: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/326899 //Outdated My Shadow bow guide: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/206814 //Outdated My mediate service: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/153408 Last edited by ashgod on Mar 28, 2013, 10:16:40 AM

Ash, is there any way to follow the build for Lionseye without the actual bow? I think the crit chance would be too low without that build and re-speccing would be very expensive.

I really like this build!
Though I don't understand why you would go resolute technique since you have so much accuracy with this build and you spend so many points getting to resolute technique. The build is on the same time very very slow so I decided getting the armor nodes and leather and steel right beside unwavering stance and a strength node which is close to Iron Grip. Here is the fixed build: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgYABH4FLQWEBbUM8g6tD6sQLRXwGNsZ_hrbGwEeGiFgI_YmlSi1KaUqWyyFMgkyfjKUNYY1kjY9Nug6UjpYOrM64T7PQKBDnESeSn1OyFFHU7tVS1YEVvpYr1oaWkhbr2BLYIhhUmHiZ6BtbG17bqp0QXTtdPF313gNeu9_AoZghxmHdojxjX2Nv5UFnaqeuZ_LoaSly6ZXpuCn1Kluqn-quKvSrpOwc7VItfK5zb3mv9XEotIZ1tHZxtwV3Q3fv-d07LbuDu9O7_Dx9Plj_MX-yP-T This build could also become very strong with Point Blank and since the build is one point away from pointblank, it could be an idea to try and get point blank and use it and find out what works out best. " The reason that you would go for Resolute Technique is that even though it eliminated the possibility to crit, it allows you to take away all of the accuracy nodes, and since a pure physical bow user is lacking behind in DPS already, this will help boost both survivability and damage output, because you will be able to take out the points spend in acc. and spend them in even more life or damage depending on your current needs. In terms of Point Blank, while yes it could increase damage, it would ultimately decrease your survivability which means a lot in this game (HC = char death is very bad, SC = Huge exp loss), so I would not recommend getting it because then you need to be close to the enemies in order to do proper damage, therefor putting your characer at risk, so for point blank to work with no death, you need an extreme amount of survivability, which ultimately leads to a DPS loss, unless you are a MLG pro gamer ;) but that is just my opinion
i have a problem with this build in hardcore.
now i have 6 frenzy charges and i shoot like a machine gun but because of blood magic i lose life like crazy (frenzy costs me 35 mana). i do ~530 dmg with all frenzy charges, life leech 3%, split arrow + 25 LGOH and have 1500 armor. what am i missing? "Embrace the darkness"

" Using a high phys bow, try to get some gear with life leech on it. Im trying a crit bow shadow too, but i dont know if i will go the BM route, maybe mana with EB would be better? And you could run more auras? |

@jerkan7
Good question! There are several solutions to your problem. 1. You need higher damage in order for your 3 % Life Leech to be able to sustain the life cost of Frenzy (your attack costs 35 life. You gain 25 life on hit. You will need around 300 dmg/hit(not DPS) to be able to sustain that with 3 % ll) 2. You need more Life Leech. I would recommend using an 'of Gluttony' flask which adds 2% Life Leech. That way you would have 5% leech, and each of your attacks would need 200 dmg/hit in order to sustain a 35 life cost on Frenzy. @ARKANOiiDe The build can definitely work without BM. First of all, you will need to use a Mana Leech support gem. Secondly, in order to run more Auras you need to prioritize ES on your armors aswell. If you have a lot of mixed ES gear you will be able to do so, otherwise it will just limit your gear options, making upgrades way harder to find :) //Outdated My Shadow Low Life guide: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/326899 //Outdated My Shadow bow guide: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/206814 //Outdated My mediate service: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/153408
" Bump on his question, is it possible? |
|
" I don't fully understand the question. If the question is "is it possible to run the build made for Lioneye's Glare without having the bow (thus gaining high crit chance/dmg but no Resolute Technique)": It should be possible, but I don't know how the damage is gonna end up with a fairly low accuracy.. I would probably use RoA instead of Split Arrow in that case. By speccing the build aimed at not having L's G you get Resolute Technique at the expense of having no crit at all, and therefore not taking any crit nodes.. This will generally improve your dps unless you have really high accuracy. //Outdated My Shadow Low Life guide: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/326899 //Outdated My Shadow bow guide: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/206814 //Outdated My mediate service: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/153408 |
