Donald Trump and US politics
DC is a cesspool of crime in the White halls. Not in inner city. Mayberry by comparison.
DC done like 50 coups and killed 50 millions since WWII. Oh and they have odasity to claim Russia meddled in our election. What a joke. Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on May 27, 2017, 8:14:06 PM

" The democrat's level of abject delusion is extremely, seriously terrifying. If they'll go to such lengths to find any excuse for losing other than "not many people like us", then who knows what they'll do when they're in power. As a reminder, all of this stemmed from allegedly (but not provably) Russia leaking provable evidence of DNC primary tampering and favoritism. Their claim is that they would have won if the skeletons in their closet never saw the light of day. As far as I can tell, the shoe that is really waiting to drop is the DNC lawsuit from the disenfranchised Bernie supporters. I'm sure that'll get lots of coverage (in between breaking reports that "Trump ate two scoops of ice cream" and "anonymous sources saying Trump purchased a balalaika once", of course). " Innocent people should be presumed innocent until proven guilty, and should otherwise go about their business as they see fit. The shark feast, as you called it, is apt. It's an unhinged media trying desperately to make something out of nothing and lashing out in every direction in a frenzy until they do. Whoda thunk they'd have such thin skin? Call 'em "fake news" once and they lose their collective minds. I guess their fury is related to the reality that their jobs and their influence are on a steep downtrend. |

My dad said news used to be just the facts. Now all news is pushing an agenda and entertainment TV with editorializing, hidden sources, and opinions. Its all fake news. Even Fox.

"Tghe Russians have had far more nukes pointed at us in the past and we have been talking to them about that since 1962. Everyone's numbers have been coming down. Russian nukes are not the problem. What is the "deep state" and please show me your actual evidence that it is a real thing. The bombing of Syria was a non issue, the runway was not damaged, no planes were damaged and few if any people killed or hurt. It was a pretend attack for which they had warning that it was coming. The missile launchings looked quite dramatic being at night and all. All sizzle and no steak. "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." Rumi

" Here is what we do know and it is not nothing. Keep in mind that all the investigating began long before the election. --Hillary lost the election because she was a bad candidate --Trump won it --The Russians did spend substantial time, money, and effort to exert influence to benefit Trump and hurt Hillary. --Trump and his spokespeople lie to the media and the people --Trump team members had more than a few contacts with influential Russians during and after the campaign that they did not disclose --Some campaign officials had monetary ties to Russia that they did not disclose --Trump has had past financial dealings with Russian oligarchs that are know for money laundering --Trump refuses to open up his past tax submissions when doing so would clarify his financial dealings with Russians. --Trump fired Comey to curtail/slow down the investigation --Jared Kushner tried to set up a secret (from the NSA, CIA and FBI) communications channel with the Kremlin --Numerous government employees in the WH and other government agencies have taken to leaking information for motives we don't understand yet. --The investigation started narrow, but has grown in scope as Trump responded poorly and new information has come to light. What we don't know: --Was there collusion between Trump and the Russians during the campaign? --What is Trump's financial entanglement with Russia and its leaders? --What was the motivation for all of the contact with Russians during and after the campaign? --Why was it all kept secret and only admitted to once it went public? --Was there a deal between Trump and the Russians to lift sanctions if he won? --How much did the Russian interference affect the election? The reason the frenzy continues is that Trump and his team keep screwing up or we get more information that they screwed up in the past. Trump can end this frenzy any time he wants. He just has to do two things. First, go public with his taxes to show that he isn't hiding a bunch of Russian deals and financial ties. Second, he and all his team from the campaign and WH testify under oath before congress and answer all their questions. He needs to proclaim is innocence and force those who do not believe him to show their proof. He could end all of this in two weeks. The fact that he doesn't points to him covering stuff up and as long as people think that, we will continue to live in this mess. "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." Rumi

" Not sure if trolling or simply naive. The reason the "frenzy" continues is because the MSM is trickle-feeding the leaks. They talk to an "anonymous official", get some information from him and then they make a week worth of daily "bombshell news" out of that one information. When they don't get new information they reuse old information and give it a new spin. I've seen several months old information regurgitated into "breaking news" many times. Now what do you think would happen if Trump released his tax returns? They would have literally years worth of stories to spin off that. They would paint every deal he made as some shady shit because a dude he bought a building from 20 years ago has ties to Putin or whatever. Same shit would happen if he testified before congress. That's why he covers things up, he knows it would only feed the narrative and he wants that narrative to die down as soon as possible. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Neither naive nor trolling. We (the nation) is in this situation as it stands now. Everyone has their angle and their spin. Neither side is going to back down from where they stand until a preponderance of evidence tips the scales one way or the other. The FBI probe will get us there in time. Meanwhile we all suffer through this ongoing miasma of innuendo and lies.
The sooner this all ends, the sooner we can get on to fixing what needs fixing. Trump's problem is that half or more of the nation doesn't believe him. He can wait for the FBI etc to come to its conclusion, but that will be months. Trump is the only guy who can end this quickly and he must be willing to take some lumps to do so. The left will not let up until all the rocks have been turned over. The left will push this as far as they can. Just like the right did on the stupid birther issue. How many years did we have to put up with that ridiculousness? Trump's taxes are only piece of the puzzle. It is not likely he did anything illegal or the IRS would have acted already, so if he doesn't have ties to Russia there, then he will get beat up for his shoddy business practices for a while. But that won't be near as bad as what we are all in store for in the coming months/years. The media loves a good story and for them this one is the best. If Trump is innocent of all that is being thrown at him, he needs to step up and end it now with full disclosure. If he is not innocent, then we are doomed. "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." Rumi

This is an interesting post |

It's not that he's a 4d chess playing genius messiah, that's not the point. I think most of his supporters understood the Trump presidency was never going to be one of great optics. And Trump understands he's not going to win in the court of public opinion so it would only undermine his efforts as president to try.
The whole point of a Trump presidency was that even though he was going to take his lumps as well as leave a few nations with the short end of some deals that 'murica would come out ahead and be stronger for it. That's the whole point, America first and a president willing to put America first no matter what. |

"Well, so far its not working very well. He has made a mess of things because he hasn't been willing to learn what it takes to be President. It is pretty clear he doesn't know how to make this country better. I'm not even sure when he says that he will make America great again, which past time he is referring to. Does he plan to take us back to 1950s? The 60s or 70s? or the crime ridden, drug filled 80s when crack and AIDS swept across the country. The 1930-40s weren't any picnic either. Help me out here. Which "great" time are we going back to? "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." Rumi
