So is this Jesus Christ?

If Jesus was alive nowadays he would prolly be watching porn lol

So when a card has an image resembling Thor, that's fine. But when a card has an image resembling Jesus, it's suddenly a controversy?

Forgive me if I don't see why this is an issue.

A smart man once stated that man doesn't usually take time to fight/argue/ridicule things which are not real. My opinion is every man has deep inside a belief in God. Looking around at this amazing world it is hard to deny creative genius.

Although I will miss playing this game I feel much worse for those who ridicule the Son of God. Why a game this intelligently created finds it necessary to ridicule Jesus makes me very sad indeed.

Wat.

First off, the card obviously doesn't depict Jesus. This game is set in a fictional existence, where Christianity doesn't exist. Of course you are welcome to interpret things any way you want, but I would wager a sum that while the imagery obviously draws parallels to Jesus and Christian imagery... this isn't the first example of that. The use of the Descry symbol throughout the game has always had pretty obvious connotations, and the institutions that make use of it have always had similarities to certain medieval religious groups. Dominus taking his Ebony Legion to Wraeclast, and the Templar Order... I mean that is literally a reference to Crusading knights... If the art work on this div card is what is driving you away, then you must not have even played the game. The "big bad" of act 3 is the literal head of a religious-military order, that draws OBVIOUS inspiration from real world Christian organizations... but the thing is, they aren't real. While there are similarities, the intent was certainly (obviously) not to disparage the Catholic church, or Christianity. If you are incapable of separating the fantasy of a fictional story in a video game from your own personal beliefs, that seems sort of sad and a comment on your own hang ups.

To those stating that this card obviously doesn't depict Jesus.

It's pretty obvious to me they chose an image of Jesus Christ for this card. Calling out corruption in religion is one thing but calling Jesus Christ corrupt is another thing entirely.

Stop playing this game then, shoving magical stones up your character ass and raising zombies from cadavers is neither a christian thing to do anyway.

No there is no record of JEsus in The roman text of that time when he was alive even tho Roman always documented what was going on.

Even Flavius Joseph wrote about jesus 30+ years after this one was supposed to be dead and he was born 6 year AFTER jesus death.

Proof about jesus existence? there is NONE.

It is true most historians agree he must have been real but they also agree there is no proof he was.

/facepalm ... You know, I'm a Christian, and I don't find any offense in PoE, let alone this divination card. Get over it and either enjoy the game or move on. :-)

I didn't know that Jesus lived on the fictional island of Wraeclast. Interesting. When did he take the Descry as his personal symbol? I though Jesus used the fish as a symbol. Hmm. I think you WANT the image on the card to be Jesus, so you have an excuse to be this butthurt about it. YES, the imagery is obviously supposed to depict some fictional saint-like character (Saint PT?), but to say this is an image of Jesus is just downright idiotic.
