And I'm quite happy to live in a country were I can pretty much look at religion the way I want. I'm not only free to believe that in my opinion religion was mostly embraced by the mighty to have means of controlling their population, much like the media can do today, I'm also totally free to tell that to everyone, even though they have the right to not care about it. If you look at the history of the bible alone this is very clear. There is a reason why the gospal of judas is not part of the bible and why the picture of judas changed a lot during the different gospels and during the early times of the religion. Judas was mainly used to distinguish jews from the new christians to give them a specific identity. Overall religion is politics, just called differently and hiding because obscurity to avoid being questioned about it. |
