What is Desync? (A thorough explanation)
What is desync?
The death of POE if it doesn't get improved to the point where people can play any build and not have to worry about some shitty desync. This is the absolute worst aspect of POE and should be the #1 priority on the list of things to work on. Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I'm still curious as to why Resolute Technique + flicker strike starts missing while desync is going on? Regardless of what's happening on both server and client two things are certain 1) I will hit the enemy 2) I shall leech life from this hit. So why do I die with 3300 DPS per second, 8%(if not more) life leech on hit, 2k life , +10 hp on kill, 60% damage redux with armor, and maxed resists. I plan on staking more HP to resolve the issue myself, but dam I don't care if I'm looking at a blank screen while flickering (actually had some times where this happened on docks and still wasn't missing) there is no way I should miss with Resolute Tech.....
I could get through the whole game with 1k life or es on HC if it weren't for this issue...... I refuse to play HC to die on a lv 60 character to desync(just like the above character I mentioned first death during Act 3 at lv 61 due to being rubber-banded every second for a min straight.) I feel bad for the OP. Those who take the time to read it will indeed be enlightened if they weren't already aware of the workings of desync.. but the problem is the people that NEED to read this, never will. And there is the problem with this (and pretty much every online) game. Those self entitled, selfish little shits that want it all for nothing. Sad :(

Yeah, how dare people want to play an ARPG with fluid combat where you don't need to use bandaid fixes that no other game would do to keep it playable.

Once you learn to play the game that's being played on the server based on the lies you're seeing on your client, the problems of desync vanish. The reason you're feeling frustrated is you are putting trust in what you see rather than learning to infer what's actually happening by what's being told to you. There is no spoon.

I care not what GGG is doing now and is going to do with desync. I just notice that desync is still here and it's killing the game(at least for me). 2014 Diablo 3 RoS, loot 2.0, it looks like bye bye PoE for me, sad...

" exactly.. i will surely go back to D3 RoS when it's released. while still not expecting a better game than PoE, i can surely expect zero desync issues. i feel sad leaving poe, and i absolutely love dungeon crawlers, BUT im not naive nor dumb enough to still play a game which has a "desync-always-on" mode - however great that game might be. who knows, D3 RoS might be 10x better than the original, and can probably be better than PoE too, it is totally overhauled after all. will set aside poe now and wait for grim dawn/d3, whichever comes first. wake up GGG, realize that this game of yours, while great in it's own right, currently has the worst desync ever - atleast in all games i have played - and people are gonna leave eventually coz of that. |

I did read everything, but i still want to says:
Desync will 101% kill PoE, if its not dead already :) I'll 101% go back to D3. The Fan Girls 101% dun care. >:) |

I see im not alone with desync problem... POE has the biggest problem from all games which i played. I cant play normaly coz desync is always with me like my shadow...In 1st second im in left down corner, 3 sec later im in another room..dead ofc WTF?? i have enough great game with greatest desync problem... Great post.
At the moment, players need to learn how 'desync' works so they understand what they should and should not do to suffer the least from desync, as 'fixing' this may not the easiest thing to do at the moment without compromising things listed in OP. as a player who controls their client, they should be aware that essentially things are never 100% in sync and that their own actions to other initial desyncs are what lead to the big problems people complain about. edit " This is very true, and I encourage others to do this as well. But still, I admit that I still do get upset in other ways, because we do force ourselves to play a certain way (try to infer what is going on in the server side), which also translates in some occasions to slower play. Anyways, my point is I feel desync isn't some unstoppable force people are making it out to be, and that player decision is largely involved when it comes to the sync state.
