Hmph. Vaguely on-topic post trying to dethrone me as a reigning Champion of Circumlocutious Grandiloquence.

I was the reigning wall of text champion before you showed up and usurped my title, Charan.

This is a great post full of very useful information. Good job on explaining a complex topic. I request a sticky for this post. Everyone should read this post to better understand how desync works and why/how the game works the way it does. Again great post.

You'll come to realize after a while that no one ever reads stickied topics :P

Just read the whole thing. It is indeed very informative and I'm thankful for what I learned. As always, when I am presented with the inner workings of something as complex as this, it blows my mind how all the information is passed back and forth in fractions of a second.

Why, in MY day...etc, etc.
All the things I want to remember are in the places I'd like to forget.

To the first: Yes! ;)

To the second: No.
I'll accept both.

it is a useful, and informative post.
while I already understood what desync is and understand how it manifests in these types of games, I still don't like it

*shakes fist at desync*
Why post this again... It's already in the "Desync Jesus" thread.

Granted no one responded there and it's a hell of alot of words and probably took some time type it all out, but you should have just bumped that thread instead of reposting it.

I thought this forum "frowns" upon posting the same thing over and over again, I mean you just did that... You copy/pasted your exact post from another topic you started on this issue, then started another thread and posted it again.

Why can you have it both ways?

Is it because your post is "apologetic" and other posts are "criticisms"?

Is that the reason you can post the same thing in 2 threads, both started by you?

Anyone else get's their thread locked, and scolded for posting the same thing twice?

Hypocrisy?

Do I get to start another thread and repost "Desync Jesus"?

I mean here's the link for the other thread containing the exact same post....
