2.6 CI Ignite Flameblast by Waldgaist - very good starting Build and decent Shaper farmer
Was thinking about using Spell Totem + Scorching Ray for that sweet -24%... Now the problem is that I don't know how to incorporate it into this build :D
The one thing I came up with that would make the most sense is taking out Inc. Duration and Tempest Shield and adding both gems for the totem. Will cost me some survivability though... Anybody got a better idea? EDIT: Nevermind, forgot that it messes with EE... Last edited by Mecielle on Dec 2, 2016, 12:49:37 PM

I will be following this guide tonight.
Thanks for the work man Btw, isnt there any other viable ascendancy class for it? I hate the Elementalist picture haha Last edited by Jenova798 on Dec 2, 2016, 2:21:22 PM

Same question here, began to play this build, will love it for sure, but about ascendancy what is the priority of nodes ?
What to take in normal, in cruel, in merciless ? Thanks ! | |

How important would you say ignite is to this build?. I mean if you would change things around quite a bit could you make a build focused less on ignite or not at all? You see i'm wondering about making a scion version of this build, but it obviously it has to focus less on ignite (or not at all) and more points would be distributed towards cast time, elem dmg, fire damage and/or spell damage (there are several of those nodes around that haven't been picked) and maybe more defense, like ES regen or even more ES.
I also see a possibility for huge passive point saving with the ability of the scion to choose another starting point (probaly witch, but maybe templar starting point) I would probably mean removing the ignite gem, and substitute that for another gem of some sort and make the flameblast itself more damaging through that gem and more dmg nodes, but it would have little or no ignite. Though a with ignite would still be possible, but would need the elem proliferation gem, and lack some key notables from elementalist ascendancy. Obviously such a build would also focus less on fire penetration and may possibly (haven't decided whether to use or not) Elem equilibrium. Would have a lot of things in common with your build, but severel things quite different as well. What would you think of such a build? could it work? |

" i understand that, but in my suggestions there were options for a relatively ignite-heavy build, a build somewhat lighter on ignite or a build without ignite, with more passives and gearing going towards spell dmg and cast speed among other things. I would love to hear from waldgaist that inspired an idea for me, or at least someone else after they've read all my points/options/ideas, whether a viable late and/or endgame character could possibly be made using a couple or several of those modifications. It's pure theorycrafting atm and it's different to be sure, but there would still be a lot of similarities. If no one thinks a build with less ignite or none at all is viable, i'll take that into consideration. A ignite heavy build is still possible with the scion tho, (but would probably have to use elemental proliferation) though less so because of the ascendancy mainly. If there is anyone who feel this is the wrong thread to post my ideas, i did it because this build inspired my ideas and it felt like waldgaist and other people here, who have played the build, would have lots of experience with flameblast and may have experimented with other options and somewhat altered builds, and thus would be in a very good position to give me some feedback if so inclined. |
