2.6 CI Ignite Flameblast by Waldgaist - very good starting Build and decent Shaper farmer

Hello! I have 3 questions

1- Why Ghost Reaver node? wiki says you can only leech 2% of your maximum life for instance, and FlameBlast deals only 1 instance. Doesn't seem very effective.

2-Are the Flat ES on rings better than +15-20% increased ES? I thought the % increased ES from crafting was the best.

3-What if you link and Enlighten were your have the Vaal Discipline, reducing the mana reserved of the other 3 aura skills, it will make a BIG difference. You can put the Vaal Discipline in another slot and with the extra mana you have now you can get better rings than Elreon Rings.

thanks, my bad if the answers are obvious, just started.

1. You have to look up again how leech works mate. If you hit a single monster with Flameblast you can leech up to 2%max es PER SECOND. Every hit creates a new leech instance. That means if you lets say hit 10 monsters at the same time you can leech up to 20% of your max es per second. For more details on how leech works you have to go to the wiki

2. Flat ES is the budget version. Why should i spent 2ex on two bad rings? This is a budget build with a very low currency investment. If you would like to min/max rings you have to multimod them and craft %es plus flat es.

3. If you have ever played Flameblast on a 6link you would know that elreon rings are very important. Even with no mana reserverd at all without two elreon rings you would have to invest so much more nodes into mana management which is totally wasted. Elreon Rings are simply BiS.

Very interested in using this tomorrow :)

Would you build this any differently for HC? Curses?

Nah not really. But you could invest a few points and go to Whispers of Doom so you can run also temp chains.
Hey,

very nice guide, it is very close to what I had planned to do for the new league with only a few minor differences (for example I don't think Ghost Reaver is worth it for Softcore, and am not going to get "Written in Blood" either so I have 5 passive points to spent somewhere else^^) I might change my mind on this when I actually play the build.

But I was still unsure of two things:

Should I run Flammability with Blasphemy or with a CoH setup on Orb of Storms? Maybe you have tried both and can give some insight into the differences in gameplay.

And second, I planned to take out Chance to Ignite while playing on a 5 link. Just wanted to confirm that your gem links are listed in priority :D

EDIT: Also maybe mention in your leveling section that the 24 respec points needed to go CI are easy to get from quests. New players are always told to only do quests that give passives and to skip respec reward quests.

But at the start of a new league 24 Orb of Regrets can easily cost you a lot of currency so it might be better to go back and spend a little time on these quests before respeccing. Still skip them while leveling, but do them before respeccing.

Another suggestion I have is mentioning that the best time to respec into CI is at level 69 as then all the BiS Energy Shield bases are available to us.

EDIT2: Just noticed that you suggested Level 65 to swap to CI, so if you have a reason for saying that, ignore my last suggestion :D

I prefer to run Flammabaility on Blasphemy while mapping. For shaper runs i do use CoH tho because sometimes you are not in blasphemy range while dodging stuff.

They are indeed in the right priority :D

Good point you are making there. I might reconsider changing the CI transition to lvl69. Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated!

I am sorry but i don't know what you are meaning. Your sentence does not make any sense whatsoever^^
Hi, waldgaist

thanks in advantage for sharing your build.
I have some questions which are aiming of the weaknesses.

Could you please explain a little bit detailed which stradegy you use for bosses there a ignite immune. Like Atziri, Phoenix and Argus. Atziri is for me in the beginning important because i plan to farm the weapon you use and div cards in Atziri lvl.

I read you use for Atziri a special flask to spawn adds and ignite over this adds with ascendency. Is Atziri possible without the flask?

And whats about leveling. I´m not sure how long it takes to get CI White Items and Orbs to roll the items. Would you level the skill tree with on life based over lvl 70++? Or would you not spend points because the transition is not done at this moment?

//edit 1
Are you using Energy from within Jewel after the nerve?

// edit 2
Read the Posts again. You recommended the The Writhing Jar Flask for fight against Phoenix and not for atziri.

For normal Atziri i would simply swap chance to ignite for elemental focus if you do have a 6l setup. If not it is not that biig of a deal. I killed atziri with a 5link setup and 3,9khp at lvl 71 without any complications.

I am still going to use the energy from withing jewel for the melding wheel.

I would most likely spare my point at that moment. But i had never any problems with a smooth transition tho^^
