Actually they do. Its already been established that the hashed password can be copied and used without knowing the real password, and that this password is stored in memory for the entire playsession.

I was hacked too today, my main was in default leage and all orbs are gone.

I never give away my password and use keepass to administrate my passwords.

Thats never happend in any other game to me, i think you have a real problem GGG.

Why should i start over again ?
Seems to be very easy to crack accounts in PoE.

A friend of mine playing PoE is not very good with computers at all, but is a nice guy irl has family day to day job and plays a few games on line when hes not working his 14 hour shifts. He was hacked today and you think he deserved it?? Little pricks like your self "deserve to" imo.

I was actually on here trying to find out if there had been problems with the new patch forcing password changes and that's maybe his problem or if he has indeed been the victim of malicious software/sites because he doesnt know the first thing about anti virus/malware software ect.

Just why You don't use other password from other most-popular sites?

I got hacked too, missing chaos orbs and exalts and other things. Not sure exactly how this happened as I don't use my password on other sites and I have Norton Security Suite and my other logins are not stolen. Hopefully they can track who stole my stuff and return it.

Me too, this happened between NOW (time of post) and yesterday last time I logged in.
FUCKING ACCOUNT SECURITY, I've been playing online stuff for over 10 years, NEVER GOT HACKED ONCE.

Today I log-in and it says I'm logging in from a different city and blocks me, WTF.

Lost EVERYTHING I HAD THAT WAS WORTH SHIT.
Sigh.

The fucker only stole chaos (around 9), alches, chromatics, few tps and whis, fusings, etc. Anything that was worth. Rares and uniques were left there.

Why? probably because some items have a unique ID GGG can track down and currency doesnt.

Hackers already ruining the game, great.

I run noscript, antivirus, security essentials, lots of bullshit software, and yet got hacked.
