Season One, Race Event 1: One Hour Solo

The solo races look quite fun to me, actually. The fact that you disabled trading so I can have a fair single player experience makes a huge difference. I think I'll be participating in races after all.
The Analytical Engine has no pretensions whatever to originate anything. It can do whatever we know how to order it to perform.

Just want to point out that this is Season One. They can make changes to the RP for Season Two, so go make suggestions in the Suggestions forum.

For people who think level 13 is too hard, you have to play differently during a race.

Sprint to Hillock, kill him.
Terraces, kill only when you have to as you run to Mud Flats(get Waypoint)(Level 3)
Kill Hailrake, be sure you hit (Level 4) before attempting the kill unless you're good
Turn in Medicine Chest(Quicksilver Flask)
Grab Rhoa Glyphs, killing as you need to to hit (Level 5)
Run Lower/Upper to get to Ledge(Get Waypoint)
Farm Ledge until 9 or 10
Make your way to Brutus only killing as you must(Quicksilver use)
Brutus dead (Level 11)
Run Ships Graveyard/Coves
First Cavern(Waypoint to Nessa get gem)
Run Caverns(Level 12)
Kill Merveil move to Act 2

If you're not good just go up and Farm til the time runs out. If you're good, you know what to do....

So you run kill Hillock then skip almost everything in Terraces and still manage to be lvl 3 in Flats. That was funny :))

Try it before you laugh at it...
You guys that arent "top player" and "casual" like you keep pointing out, have a good opportunity to go practice right now. You have nearly 2 days to practice in solo runs and try to get as high as you can get for one hours. Dont use any items from your stash and its the same exact thing, if you want tips, I'm sure some of the streamers will show what they plan to do. Take two hours, do a couple runs, to familiarise with the quest and the best possible way to level up and I bet you will be able to beat that lvl 13.

You used to get rewards on a marauder in hardcore league, you have to run through twillight place and kill hillock before you could put the rewards in your HC stash. I dont think we will get anything else than RP, so I dont think this will happend? Pretty disapointed, I liked the currency you would get for the races, but oh well, guess its how its gonna work now.
damn you guys always have these during school!

The Hailrake kill is often not even worth it unless you need a specific gem. Some builds do fine without the flask! Quicksilver flasks are pretty common to find as a drop. If you go to The Ledge and farm and haven't found one by level 8, you may want to go back and pick it up, wasting maybe a minute, where the direct hailrake is probably setting you further behind because of the later progress. Regarding level 3 at Mud Flats, I think it is well worth it to do Mud Flats as level 2, reducing the kill-requirement in Terraces.
I appear to be living in "Romance Standard Time". That has to be good! :)

So what is going to be done about people using third party multibox programs for event races??...

I think a gold ring might actually make a better reward than a coral ring since you can reroll the ring to get whatever benefits you want and the base benefit of a gold ring is actually universal unlike a coral ring which is useless to CI users.
Someone tell me how i participate the Race, in detail please..
Thanks! :)
