The Baron helmet is working as intended (no changes made by GGG since last I played 6 hours ago).

The lack of current SRS dps is directly related to how you have chosen to level your tree, where you have slotted your gems and lack of one or two pieces of useful leveling items (not to mention a cheap 6l staff since you're level 62).

The OP does have a BM leveling guide under his 2.4 BM section. And I came up with what I used
based upon the OP's tree at Lvl 60 http://poeurl.com/bkKj. With the 2 unigues listed below, I had around 560 strength vs your 270. And yes, at this point I was still using mana to power my SRS, hence the mana nodes.

Two very useful leveling uniques for this build are
giving about 140 strength and 4% life regen, combined.

You should also by now have your SRS in a +2 fire gems 6l staff. Use the Dark Mage div card set and a Shrieking of Rage essence. I used SRS, melee phys damage, added fire, reduced mana, melee splash, minion speed (or multistrike + minion damage for bosses) RRRRBB.
Do NOT craft blood magic onto your staff until you have most of the requisite life regen nodes, and Sovereignty sluster for you generosity+hatred.

ATM you should be using haste + clarity for your auras.

If you cannot afford a +2 6l staff atm, move your SRS into The Baron (+2 Minion Skills); RRBB SRS, Minion Damage, Melee Phys Damage, Melee Splash/Multistrike. And start leveling needed gems in your off-hand weapon swap!

Hello quick question: how do you craft blood magic on staff?

Hi can u maybe give a little overview how i progress in tree while leveling? i would like to try this build in the 1week legacy race but have no idea how to skill. would be really nice if u can add 2-3 leveling trees.

Look under the "2.4 bloodmagic"

So why don't more people run with Lycosidae + Necromantic Aegis? I was hoping you could check that out.

I saw your last post, which got me to thinking and testing with PoB (both 2.6 and 3.0) and the damage seems promising (ultimately a 9 link+RT lvl 26 SRS.....yumm yumm). However, atm I am on LHC and losing over 1k life plus shield defenses is a bad thing (not to mention the prices of either sword....).

I would try it on STD, but atm all my necros have used their skill resets.......so until I rip my current witch, I will prolly stick to the staff and as much life as I can manage to stack.

And, I am playing with a couple other ideas for SRS :)

Sry, that idea is a bit rubbish, why would you use that shield ? Raging spirits is not missing any targets. and the cold dmg is to counter attacks. wont work. DEBUNKED lmao

And there is no way, any shield would make up for the defense´s lost!

Thoughts on 3.0?
