I wanted to try this, but I'm noob at +3 staffs; is buying one for 15 ex a rip off, or can you craft your own cheaper?

You can but you need some masters 8lvl and 2 ex I think.

if anyone wanted some advice on crafting +3 staff this comment by uberelite is helpful

I can see that OP has changed his build a lil bit. @DevilsChoice How do you think your new setup perform? Does it perform better or worse with LL? Thanks in advance.

Heyas, I am doing Devil's Baron build on LHC and thought I'd post my current results. I did a slight tree modification, adding some more life in lieu of damage nodes (mainly due to not being able to afford a Kaom's Heart).

Current Gear
Weap Swap for gem leveling I plan on getting Whispers of Doom next, then a 3 point jewel socket, then if I stick with leveling this char, either minion damage nodes above witch or....moar life! Hmmmm or perhaps the Alchemist flask nodes..... Gear-wise.....there is a TON of improvements to be bought/crafted.....just need RNG to cooperate with me more; same with jewels. About my SRS setup, I use melee splash + minion speed for clearing, and multistrike + minion damage for tougher bosses. About my curse setup, atm I am using arc+inervate for a 25% shock chance. Once I get WoD, I will replace inervate with vulnerability, and perhaps orb of storms for arc. This girl is actually my 2nd LHC attempt; 1st girl ripped at 84 due to the Goddess bitch-slapping me, hehehe. I finally hit lvl 90 on LHC last night. About Fhark's +3 staff post; I use that method to craft my +3 staves as well, however...a 6l staff should only cost you around 12-18c! (or free if you farm the cards yourself) http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Dark_Mage Edit: I leveled this girl using SRS as soon as it was available in a lifesprig. At lvl 26 I put my SRS setup into The Baron helmet until I got my +2 6l staff at lvl 50. A couple of other useful uniques for leveling are The Shaper's Seed ammy and Meginord's Vise gloves, for some sweet 4% total regen and 100 strength. Edit 2: I ripped last night at lvl 92+15% farming lab for enchants, due to zigging when I shudda' zagged during final Izaro fight. I am such a fucking idiot............. " I played around with your Path of Building link because I plan to roll this build in 3.0. I changed a few points and went to pick up Necromantic Aegis. Then using just a Severed in Sleep + Lycosidae (so the SRS never misses), my damage per SRS almost doubled. I changed Poison gem to Elemental Focus since Severed in Sleep gives the minions poison on hit. I have added The Baron helmet to my character, but it does not seem to change the DPS of my SRS... has this been changed in recent update? I'm in standard league.
