Active Mods
The following league mods are active during this event:
  • Arctic: All areas other than towns contain drifting areas of cold damage. Each area contains 20 additional strongboxes. This race type is voided.

A summary of Time based events:

Time based events are designed to create a competitive environment where players compete not by character experience, but by their ability to progress through the game and complete specific objectives, such as killing bosses.

The boss required to be defeated for this race is: Malachai, The Nightmare, located in The Harvest.

  • The time recorded is based from the beginning of the race, not when your character is created.
  • Characters will not appear on the ladder until they have completed the objective.
  • Characters are not required to have completed the time based objective in order to receive points for the other objectives, such as points awarded for reaching certain levels.
  • Characters who die after completing the objective will still be counted for receiving reward points.
  • Points are awarded at the end of the race, do not delete your characters until they have been moved to the permanent leagues.

Good luck to everyone!

Nonvoided would be more interesting tho.

I also 'missed' the part about 'voiding' after finish - could be very 'interessting' ^^ (not to forget, that the possible points here also skyrocket)

100 pts for killing normal Malachai in 24hrs? I'm pretty new to racing, but this seems too easy. What's the catch?

RIPFest.

The only way I can see this being difficult is if these "cold clouds" do MASSIVE damage. I guess it will make bosses somewhat tricky if their rooms are full of moving, burning, chilling ground. Depends on the density too. We'll see.

Anyway, there's no topping last season's 24-hour BLAMT Malachai Kill. That was epic.

EDIT: Also I'm betting we'll see some funny Tempest-like RIPs as people die to the environment while attending to their strongboxes.

(btw) its 24 hours despite the fact that it takes probably about 3 to kill malachai is probably because it allows for casual players to give it a healthy stab at it without needing to take a day off of work.

you wont get 1st place honors , but for that many points who gives a crap.

when you think about it , this is a pretty brilliant idea for a race points wise as if a player actually manages to kill malachai (not saying they will mind you)

it will put even casual racers with in achievable distances of the 250 point race reward which could be enough to get them to go for it.

Yup, will be doing this so I can get my alt art Whispering Ice haha.
what does "non void" means?
sorry never been in race and this is first one that intrigued me
This race type is voided, and the post has been updated to say so. Sorry about the confusion!
