If anyone has a clue how to calculate and determine which is the most optimal between those two, that would be sweet! Personally I think you can just pick between whichever class you like better aesthetically.

Thanks for a nice answer! I guess i will just respec my scion then and dont level up a shadow. Could you help me set up a starting tree for lvl 79 to respec into as scion then? I would appreciate that very much :)
Dropping 100 flat ES for me right now (with all of the ES nodes I plan on getting already allocated) results in a loss of about 500 total es. Is it worth it... that's up to you! XD
So I splurged a bit and got one with decent ES. Spent more than all my jewellers to 6s.... (500+) was cursing out my luck and about 150 fusing in.........

Ah, I knew I was forgetting something! For bandits it's Kill/Krait/Alira.
For leveling you would just selfcast either bladefall or blade vortex. I leveled with Bladefall personally.
Pre-Shavronne's, you'll want to use a 5 or 6 link ES chest (ES/EVA hybrid will make it easier to get the colors you need). With the sixth link being controlled destruction, I would suggest only switching to Shav's when you have one six linked. Six link rare > 5 link Shavronne's.
For leveling I would follow something like this:

You don't want to get any of the dagger nodes until you're ready to respec.
Also, I can't stress enough that Shavronne's is completely optional. It adds ~40% more total damage, but you'd be completely justified in wanting to play hybrid with something like 3k HP and 9k energy shield. The largest downside to using a Shav's is that you will have to roll five off color if you want to slot in life leech over crit strikes. They key to playing this as a hybrid is really just to use a Ming's Heart and to make sure you've got the reduced DOT crafted onto your shield.
Hi how did you manage to sustain all 3 auras? Won't you have zero mana to use?? Sorry I just started out, it would be good if you manage to explain
Ive saving up enough ex to get some decent gear for this build, currently at 62 and just waiting to get into the 70's to make sure I Can get good es equipment.
I originally was going to end playing this as a hybrid but after reading through the forum pages you seem to conclude CI is better than hybrid. Looking at a few of your videos I liked the way it played and planned on going CI.
Would you say CI is the best way to play the build? Better than hybrid and low life?
Thanks for putting in the work to keep this updated, really like the build so far. Take care.
ALSO, any chance you could link ur jewels?

As CI, you run Hatred and Discipline primarily. I'm currently working on trying to corrupt a pair of boots for +1 gem so that I can get a lvl 4 or 5 enlighten in there and 1-2 aura nodes to add a herald or Arctic Armour. But yes, currently only playing with the two auras on.

If you are uber rich, low life is the best way to play this build. If you are not rich or even just moderately rich, play CI. CI becomes superior to hybrid around the time you can wear some level ~70 es gear.
Updated with a new video - HC, CI, hobo gear @ level 71. Proof of concept and budget viability.
I love it.. looks like most of my chars in temp HC Tali gear-wise, ahaha!
Loved the Fakener but yeah, nobody would play with me cause all my guildies got potatoes for PCs :D Gonna try this next league. Ty!
