You should have about 70% plus a diamond flask, which is all you need.

I picked up the Dagger Crit Chance nodes near Shadow start and got two diamond rings + some crit chance on my amulet (I think 27). That gave me a total of 89% crit chance, though I will probably end up respecing out of the crit nodes in favor of more damage with Bladefall (and eventually EK, once I 6l my Shav's). So far, the damage is really good- it can just about handle temp chains Conservatory in a six man group, though the damage seemed to be lower than what is shown in your videos. However, many of my gems are underleveled (I respecc'd an old high level character and bought all the gems from vendors) so I'm expecting the average damage per Bladefall to go up quite a bit (currently at 11k with 6 power charges, Lightning Golem, Atziri flask, and auras/heralds)

Glad you're having fun! Gem levels account for the majority of your damage, and getting level 21s should be your number one priority if possible.
The damage has gotten pretty great now with a couple more levels in my gems. What's your survivability like? The only problems I've had so far are with bosses like Merveil (Necro) and Fire Fury (Crema), though I'm fairly sure some others might be able to kill me as well.

Made this build myself without looking at the guide and came here to see how not a lot of people appreciating how good it is on 2.3... the assassin ascendancy is so broken with us getting bleed on bosses with cyclone then having insane poison and bleed damage with EK and bladefall, almost doubling pre-2.3 build dps... I tried to calculate the damage on my build and its around 350k with a portion of it being chaos (which is about a near mirrored lowlife wander). We have easy 95% crit on both cyclone and spells, we get the highest attack speed dagger instead of a skean, we use facebreakers because we don't need crit from maligaros. It is both uber and core viable. I swap between life leech and added fire in 6L as I wish, when mapping leech is better due to bladevortex not hitting all mobs and cursing them, but for bosses added fire is insane.

In comparison with my CoC Discharge with which I do my uber service it has more damage, doesn't lag, freezes mobs due to hatred, just feels right. The only negative side is, it is more expensive (a lot) and it has less surviability due to having 2.5k ES less (7.5k instead 10k) and 6 less maximum resistance to fire and lightning (no purities).

hi there,
when do you recommend switching to the build ?
i'm currently level 56, with all crit chance taken from passive nodes.
i have a vagan dagger, and 2x elreon rings (i'm a scion), but not diamond rings ones (so with a basic spell like selfcast Bladefall, and an ice golem i have only about 35% crit chance)
thanks
hi there,

is there another way of getting power charges than the selfcast blade vortex ?
i like this build but i want to find another way generating power charges if possible,

i really don't want to "self cast" something every 5 seconds to get additional critical hit chance.

i mean, it's a shame to be "cycloning" and having to stop all the time to regenerate the vortex

thanks!

also, how do you deal with mana usage ? :(

i'm 64 on my shadow, with a 6L and low-level gems (13/15), 1 elreon ring + clarity, and it's not enough , i have to use mana pots every 10 seconds :(

Lvl 1 cwdt+bladevortex+powercharge on crit+increased duration setup works just fine instead of selfcasting BV :) gives really good charge generation, for those who cannot afford skyforths its probably the best solution currently.
