Actually I would expect:

now that 2 get you chance

3 will get you Alch

4 will get you Regal.

It's a guess... as three of same name is doable but not PAINFUL

2x Same name/item would be almost not worth doing.

didnt they say the recipe change should be a method to prevent from stacking stash tabs with items for the vendoring? IMHO, if your guess is right, it would mean to have even more (longer) to keep for a realistic matching chance...

I hope its something different. (or at least they lower down the item name pool again)

@radiatoren: thanks for the quick update on the op, but I think the 'old' Regal recipe (3 rare names matching) should at least get a mark as sign for a needed validity check.

my bet:
2 same names on yewellery = alch
2 same names on armor/weapon = chance as already mentioned

yewellery is smaller = more stashplace ready for matching

Sounds possible! Seems like we have to find a match to prove...


...and (if true) it seems to be still quite hard (even harder now) to match (by the rareness of rare jewelry drops) - but thats what was announced ^^

I've found some jewelry matches in legacy league (what shouldnt matter here), even a triple matching ring. Will check later in the afternoon what I get offered.

i wouldnt expect that because it only doubles the number of stasht tabs needed, so it would still be possible to stack them...

They can also prevent you from stacking stash tabs with items by making much more possible rare names... My guess is that they wont simplify getting alchs.

That would never work.
Adding more rare names doesn't prevent people from stacking tabs.
In fact it just makes it MORE necessary to stack tabs, and widens the disparity between people who have lots of tabs and people who don't.
The same would be true of requiring matches to have the same base type.
