Path of Exile seems to perform poorly on ATI/AMD cards?

Listen, it's a beta and the game code hasn't reached perfection just yet. I am running 6850s in crossfire and I don't have too many issues other than an occasional slowdown if I am grouped with 5 casters/ranged characters and they all cast at once.

Ill have to jump in here, running 7970 and have run into issues with my character not being able to move but other buttons work, and docks is such a pain, fps drops down to single digits even without everyone casting, and I have suffered countless deaths. Hope something changes.

4800 reporting in

ATI HD 4770 here with an AMD 4850e processor (2.5Ghz dual core) and 4 GB ram. The game resides on a Samsung SSD. I know the CPU is slow, but the game plays perfectly until I get near a named monster or boss, then there is a long pause while the new spell effect(s) are buffered/cached/loaded/etc., and then things start up again. So, as things are running smoothly before and after this loading pause, I have a feeling it's not my system that is the cause of the issue.

The GPU scores respectably on Tom's graphics hierarchy chart, about equivalent to an Nvidia 8800 GTX.

I have already tried setting everything on the in game graphics settings to their lowest and using the -nosound switch in the shortcut.

With latest CCC 13.2b and the bus update my fps has improved significantly, but the problem is not gone entirely yet.

Get lag spikes when 6 people are in groups spamming AOE spells. Especially on the docks. No changes to any setting make a difference.

Currently have Everything on and maxed with 8x AF and 6 AA. Changing the AA and AF make no difference at all either.

My Intel HD4000 (in my ultrabook) performance somewhere near my 6970.

Unplayable in groups! :)

Almost same rig, and same problems, this is a known issue by now i hope, and they should adress this sooner rather than later.
I fear this issue will make many people leave the game.

I'm using HD7700, with all the graphic setting being lowered to minium, still freezes and crashes out from time to time.
GGG, please do something, and this is more important than adding now gem designs.
