@Glull very impressive gear you have there
crit in most builds is good damage. Its a lot of point investment though and I really like stacking Int as it has such good value giving damage, ES and mana all of which make the build effective overall. Tooltip DPS will definitely improve going crit though @necro I feel like herald of thunder wouldn't give much to the build since it gets plenty of flat damage from Int and a jewel and a helmet seems alot to invest to get arctic armour. Still its good to see people trying different things @kegari I hadn't seen this. Thats HUGE, is this in patch notes? |

" RIP whispering Ice ok its not that bad but seriously that will hurt the build. It makes more sense in terms of consistency and now increased duration is a good support for icestorm which it wasn't before but we will need to test the new damage levels :S temp chains + chill will probably no longer be OP so probably changing gloves will happen and add a curse on hit into our herald of ice. Maybe poachers mark for frenzy charges while mapping. I'll probably drop drop avatar of fire to get the freezes back if temp chill doesn't hard cc anymore. That would be a reason to keep temp chains though as the freeze duration should still be a thing. In the positive energy from within unique jewel is good now so we might use that to get some ES... Yay?... |

ok I've crunched the numbers and it appears to be a 1/3 nerf to duration. thats annoying but not build breaking

I just did a couple of maps to test with this setup :
My skill lasts 3.54 secs (which is a bit more than what i'll get after the nerf i will be at 3.350 so it's more than half of what i have now as i currently have 7 secs with acuity and 1825 int). For solo mapping it's not really noticeable for trash mobs but for rares and bosses damn it hurts :s 1825 intel and the lack of temp chain is a big loss of safety to a degree i would not have imagined. Correct me if I'm wrong but here is the math I was doing
1500ms (up from 700ms) and grants 150ms base duration per 100 Intelligence (from 50% increased duration per 100 Intelligence) Old duration 700ms x (18x0.5) = 6300 New duration 1500ms + (18x150) = 4200 Both of these are without any increased duration. Since the new one is flat duration not % it will scale better with %duration. Yeah temp chains + chill is massive cc. Its why I was happy to take avatar of fire EDIT: Hmm yeah my duration is higher then that math provides for the 700ms and 50% duration numbers. From what i understand it's :
1500ms base + int * 150 in my case with 1800 int : 1500 + 150 * 18 = 1500 + 2700 = 4200 Ok i reallized i was wrong when writting the math ^^ Less than a 50% reduction then. Bad morning calculations but the salt is still real. Maker of ZeeL's Amplifier.

" The overall clear speed of maps isn't really affected because trash mobs die fast anyway but my biggest grip is for bosses like atziri and other dangerous stuff where i'm sure all of us use the cheesy technique to spam cast off screen for several second then aggro the boss into the stacked storms and rape it. Don't expect an insane clear speed because the skill is not that good at this by design anyway. We lost survivability because of temp chain/chilled ground. It was a good build/skill but really far from OP but GGG doesn't like it same as they don't like anything these days so... Maker of ZeeL's Amplifier. The Energy From Within unique Jewel now transforms Life into Energy Shield at 100% of its value.
This may make me respec back into the life/ES wheel directly East from the witch start. It was a butt-ton of ES when it was at 50% value but now get the full effect. |
