This is what I would do. How you progress is mostly preference as long as you get ~300% hp. Endurance charges are really strong because they are a flat damage reduction ontop of what you have from armor. This lets you get like 90% phys reduction even against bosses. I didn't take the route you did, but the endurance charges actually make your route really strong.

For reference I took all of the HP nodes you already were near, then elemental adaptation, then got endurance charges. I think endurance charges are really powerful, but you don't have to take them.

After that you would go up to the duelist area and take the direct route to the life regen node.

This is my own final build, in case you were wondering:

It has a little more health that the regular path, and it has the option of going for the 1.2% hp regen in the middle.

Interesting and I really like it, gives u a lot of life. I always need to play around with builds, cant leave it, so here is my attempt on your endgame build. I think u can save a few nodes and invest them to better profit (+1 endurance charge, +8% movementspeed, +44% Armor/ES and 10% allres (Body and Soul is just amazing and imo worth the points, because for the 10% u get here u can, if your res are allready capped, respec a diamond skin node). Also the divine Toughness node up at EE is really great, 18% life omg ^^, therefore I got rid of the lifenodes u took at the Iron Reflex area, because it takes u many nodes to get there. To compensate I took the STR + 3x 8% nodes right beneath.

And how about the Leather and Steel thing? Does anybody know how it works with Iron Reflexes?

"
Does it increase my armor by 48% or just 24%? Because Iron Reflexes converts EV to AR, so theoretically there is no Evasion left to be amplified by those "24% more Evasion" ...

Just 24%.
"Final Armour = Base Evasion * ( 1 + Armour% + Evasion% + "Armour and Evasion%" )"

But why are people take the node then? They could take any other armor node which is almost as good and does not require as many points (e.g. at the Mara start)

I don't know. I don't like that side of the duelist tree. I'd rather have more HP than more armor since granites already give me a ton. I also think that it is easy enough to plan your character around having 35% increased fire damage from jewelry, and another 10% from quality fire pen. With that you don't really need any more projectile damage.

%Evasion is stronger for armor when you have IR because you get the bonus from dex before the evasion is converted to armor.

I personally take it because the ignore movement penalty thing. (If its not too much out of the way)

Okay, well I currently wear some heavy armor and it takes me from 25% to 21% MS, but you could just get the +8% MS on top of Iron Reflexes, way cheaper. And if I want armor, I can just take the Armor nodes in the Mara tree (also gives +2% MS).

True words my dear sir. Just get the +%Fire Damage nodes close to BM, gives a good ~40% damage boost.

Alright, after almost 1.5 weeks of planning, trading, farming and looking at the forums and your helpful advice, I finally did my first map today. I wanted to capture this on video, to show beginners and everyone else an interesting build which is very affordable in gear requirements, great at farming end game maps, quiete tanky and a lot of fun to play.

Big thanks to everybody who commented, gave advice and helped with knowledge :) especially shouts to Pastromy and Deltrus for their patience.

Here's the video:

Nice vid. I was surprised there weren't any EA vids yet. Just some tips I can give you from looking at the video:
- Don't try to tank those big monkeys/rhoas and other things that hit hard. Even I am afraid of them. Put down your totem and kite them.
- Put those 5 points into HP asap. In the vid you could have had 5k hp, so you would have been much safer.

But if you are on softcore then feel free to ignore that advide :D. I still don't know.
