Explosive Arrow Marauder (Updated for Release)

2. Fire pen only is applied to the ability that it is linked to. Same with ele prolif and pretty much every other support gem.

Okay too bad, so Ill use the following skills then:

- EA + LMP + Conc Effect + Prolif + Fire Pen

- SA + Chain + Loh + ?Stun?

- SA + Culling + IIR + IIQ

- Red Mana + Wrath + Grace + Flameability

- Spell Totem + Skelettons + X + Y (maybe Faster Cast or Minion Life, or Ill try Molten Shell for extra def)

any tips/changes on that? any crucial mistakes?

I think that the best combo by far is EA + Chance to ignite + Ele Prolif + Increased Burn Damage + Fire Pen. LMP is bad because only the biggest burn does damage. It also is very bad vs reflect. With my setup the entire screen is covered by burning corpses that proliferate a burn to anything that runs towards you.

You want blind on your LoH split arrow. It is the best defensive gem in the game imo. Personally I use Ranged attack totem instead of LoH. My mindset is that if I am taking more than 6-7% of my HP per second then I need to be running away. The totem also can tank for you and apply EE in one cast, which makes it better than skele totem (imo). I use 4 endurance charges and have granites up all the time.

But overall LoH vs ranged attack totem is a matter of preference. I suggest you try out both.

Also recommend trying faster attacks dj
I also pick up run speed and beserking as I pretty much tank for my group

With kaoms still easily capped resi not using those placeholder 15% nodes and just off 8k...
Also If your playing sc would recommend trying LA gmp loh chain

try out decoy/shell/faster casting/ele weakness and look for a pair of windies :P

unbelievable the kinda damage u pull of with ele weak/flam/ee/fire pen :P and tbh once u get 6L if u wanna mf just throw it on ea u kill everything with the explosion on its own if u run conc effect

In the days i came up with a similar build idea (only with duelist starting and EV based).

What i was thinking is if i use added lightning dmg gem on Explosive Arrow (or any added ele dmg gear), the initial arrow with lightning dmg would trigger EE and when the explosion comes, mobs already have the -50% res right?

The problem is that you only shoot one arrow with this build, meaning that you'll only debuff the single (5 stacked) mob when using added lightning on EA.

That's why split arrow is used... Because you can debuff a whole pack of mobs... Plus added lightning is basically a wasted support on EA--as it really doesn't scale the explosion damage/burn damage (from the explosion) up at all.

Well i was thinking with GMP, so i can debuff packs.

True. Guess any kind of added ele dmg on gear would do as well (other than fire).

Yep. Many people just use level 1 wrath. Gear with 1-2 damage might not work because chain reduces damage by 50% and there are resists etc.

A question regarding the "Leather & Steel" node:

Does it increase my armor by 48% or just 24%? Because Iron Reflexes converts EV to AR, so theoretically there is no Evasion left to be amplified by those "24% more Evasion" ...

Because Im not sure how I should continue my build - if I should should pick the "Thick skin" life nodes first, close to Iron Reflexes, or first go for the "Master Of The Arena" + Life + "Leather & Steel" nodes - or the %Fire Damage nodes in the Blood Magic corner.

Just fyi, Im at 4.4k life, res 80 80 70, 6.1k armor (47% red.) and 191 regen.
