Assuming same drop rate as Exalted Orbs, the only way this item will change the exalt value, is:
in about 3 years, there might be twice as many exalts as there are today.
There will be as many exalted orbs as today, drop by then.
So we are talking at most, a 33% increase in supply.
There needs to be a change to crafting, ie. better (guaranteed range) stat rolls using Exalted Orbs, to significantly change their value via REMOVING them from the supply, rather than merely increasing their number.
wait...
People use exalted orbs?
isent that like throwing away money
I dont see any any key!

Doesn't it make more sense to use it than to put it in a stash and hold onto it until you quit playing?

Yes, but they're only so valuable because of what they can be used for.

Putting one more affix on an item, with increased chance of tier-500 Thorns?
Heck, an Alch beats an Exalted hands down in terms of usefulness.
They are valuable because they are so disgustingly rare, and that's also why people don't use them.
People who aren't holding on to the fortunes of an entire League, that is.

I dont know man. I think exalts are in a weird place. Divines are even rarer, yet you can get them for 7 chaos a piece.

inb4 the card only drops in an area nobody EVER visits like "Walled-Off Ducts" (Corrupted sewer zone) or worse yet, Invasion bosses like Corrector Draconides that only spawn in Zana-modded Invasion maps (which would spawn another invasion boss usually)

GGG will not allow these to be in some easy mode farm zone, thats for sure. SO be in for a rough surprise when you read where the cards drop.

The only thing that worry me with div card are thefarming bots
They can have a real impact on the economy if they are able to farm what they want
Have fun! And go buy my stuff...
