More Weapon Types?

" Technically this may be true however, wands are based upon the intelligence stat, where as bows are solely based upon dexterity. I believe what he meant to say is that another ranged weapon type based on the dexterity stat for requirements is wanted. almost every other class has a choice like this. Templar's - int/str - staffs/sceptres, int/dex class - claws/daggers Duelist - dex/str - one/two handed sword/axe Marauder - str - one/two handed mace Witch - int - Wands Ranger - dex -Bows Just to give all classes more choices and have them be relatively fair choice wise, how about developing 2-handed pure int weapon for the witch and 1handed pure ranged dex weapon for the rangers? This is just in the interest in fairness because as the weapon layout goes, the witch and the ranger seemed to be lacking when it comes to weapon choices specifically assigned with their respective elements. Ranger also has the thrusting swords for one-handed dex weapons.

" This is true.. But when people think Ranger, they almost always associate that with Ranged weapons. If you want to use Dex based melee weapons, then deulist is usually a better option. As for more Ranged Weapons? X-Bows would be fantastic. They would be great as a Str/Dex item. That would give Marauders a chance for Ranged attacks =D as well of course anyone else with enough Str. I dont think the Str requirement should be too high though, other wise Rangers would get little to no use. Throwing Daggers/Axes would be great too. In the game Dark Stone, throwing daggers were my weapon of choice. |

Spears !!
Javelin throw could be spear skill, that would be cool. Same for throwing dagger or axe. The problem with throwing weapons is that, in real life, you can only throw it once xD And I have the feeling PoE wants to be a bit more realistic than the average Arpg. New weapon types will almost definitely be added but not anytime soon. That effort is better spent on other things like new skills for now.

I am simply humbled Anyways, I believe your statement to be true. Their time may be suited better else where for the moment indeed. There are some elements in the game that need attention first before this issue is addressed. On this I think we can both agree. However, my argument as to the lack of weapon diversity for some classes, can also be attributed to that of gems. Currently the balance of gems is off as well due to whatever reason. GGG chose to tackle this issue first, and that's completely fine. However during the development of these same skills they found the time to throw in sceptres almost nonchalantly. So why isn't it possible to throw in a new weapon type every other patch until open beta? Zed's dead baby. Zed's Dead.

scepters just use the mace animations : P. Also str int reaaaaaaallly needed a one handed melee weapon. It wasn't just for flavor.
