More Weapon Types?

As the title states above, I was curious to know if GGG has any plans on introducing more varied weapon types to the game as the beta continues. I have done some research on this topic before but haven't seen any mention of it. For example one area that is lacking in diversity is ranged weapons. If I would like to play a build with ranged (physical!) attacks then I have little choice but to go with Bows. (more choice would be crossbows, throwing knives/axes and others of the like) I do realize there are other areas that need fixing/tweaking/revamping, but I just wanted to know if anything is planned in the future that revolves around this topic.

In addition I also noticed that all high level gear ends at 60. Will higher tiers be introduced as all the acts are finished left until the eventual expansion or is this intended to be left as is?

In combination with that, I also would like to know if there will be more sets of armor in higher levels. Current armor sets are looking fine but I somehow miss Full Plate Armor, respectively "cool" looking armor like this:

As the max level will be 100, there are surely going to be more items added to fill the remaining 40% of the levels. No one would be able to play the rest of the content with gear that out-leveled.

or they just could add a fourth and fifth wave of elite itmes (which are currently available items in a superior state) and no new gfx's. And that's why I'm asking.

Gorlak would love to see Flail or Morning star type weapon added to mace category!!

I think we need more physical ranged weapons, all we have right now are bows. It would be nice to have something like cross bows for rangers who want something with more punch.

I was also thinking of some ranged weapons that would be good for strength users, such as javelins, to give some more variety besides the standard melee weapons.

More variety (in terms of graphics) will be added in the future, at the least one of the main draws of the shop will be re-skins for items.

I gotcha. Thanks for the clarification as well as taking time out of your busy schedule of making skills to answer my original inquiry.

All I was saying is that I envisioned myself playing a 1h crossbow and shield wielding marauder some stay is all. Now I guess I gotta play until the expansion comes out *darn*

Also, I see you got your signature back! Why were you allowed to have it back? Why couldn't you have it in the first place? Regardless of the reason, you are as square as a box indeed Russel.

Also since you added the sceptre in this patch do you have any more equipment types planned before the games release or is that all?

Well, at least Dark Souls gives you the opportunity to play with a crossbow & shield warrior. ;)
