I'm pretty confidant it'd be weirder if we went the other way and investing in chance to avoid being ignited passives meant that RF sometimes arbitrarily didn't cast for you.
Mechanically, RF doesn't ignite you, it applies a debuff that deals burning damage to you and some other things. "Ignite" in a mechanical sense means to apply the specific "burning" elemental status ailment. Last edited by Mark_GGG#0000 on Mar 27, 2013, 8:46:05 PM

Not sure why ppl think this shield is any good for low life / RF builds?

" It doesn't work. Unless one of the 4 new Uniques adds 1% Life Regen (not on Low Life), then you'll be 1% regen short. You'd slowly lose health, reversable by Ruby Flasks, but the constant stress of having to keep Endurance Charges up and having to Ruby Flask every minute or so just isn't fun.. As for spell damage, the 86% from RF and the few nodes you can take more than make up for not being a non-RF spell damage oriented tank build. I've got my fingers crossed on a 1%+ Life Regen Unique! With 8k+ HP, RF would not only make your spells strong, but burn mobs to a crisp, all while being tanky. And you could turn RF off, and never die because of your innate regen/resists. " You might want to check the skill tree again. No endurance charges is required for the regen to be higher than that of RF Unviable build tester.

" I've done the math. Even with Endurance Charges, you wouldn't have enough Regen to outdo RF's damage on a Life Oriented RF build. You'd be off by about 1% (at max Endurance Charges). Hence my desire for a Unique that adds 1-6% Life Regen without a Low Life requirement. I'm talking about a pure life oriented RF build, with no ES. If you meant an ES oriented RF build with nearly no life, then yes even 1/3 of the regen nodes would be enough to outregen the damage. But that's not what I'm talking about.
