You can also do Incinerate, Lightning tendrils with saffels and immortal flesh. Great synergy between the two.
how does it make you tanky against high physical attack damage ?
you lose regular block by using saffel and the flat phys reduction gives you good protection against small rapid hits but against harder hits I believe youre still glass cannon unless stacking armour/ec+ic or a lot of evasion


The premise of burning discharge is to use spell echo+ ec to get 7 charges to discharge, so against huge hits I have 7 charges up. If I take a hit after I discharge(less likely since screen melts) I mitigate with a high level CWDT + MoltenShell + IC. For chest I am using Carcass Jack and I have IR. my overall armour is around 3400. I also have a granite handy in case I'm facing dominus's touch of god,brutus gs,etc aka huge hits.

With granite it pushes it to around 15k armour.
ah ok I missed the EC part (Im dumb, I kinda skipped over the discharge part). yeah that setup is very tanky.

Sure, could you provide the build? I'm not too familiar with playstyles that involve Discharge.

gutsygibbon is right. Burning Discharge is extremely fun to play.

here's my Burning Discharge Templar tree, for reference:


what you basically do is gain charges, then get right in the middle of the largest pack-o-mobs you can find, and blow up.

for Burning Discharge, you need Endurance Charges (other variants: Frenzy for ice, Power for lightning).
that means you can combine the part of running into the pack with the part of gaining charges, using a simple combination:

Enduring Cry + Spell Echo.

and then the actual blowing up part is done with a 4-link:

Discharge + Elemental Proliferation + Increased Burning Damage + Chance To Ignite

for gear, the ideal is to get stuff which increase fire damage, burning damage, level of fire gems, critical multiplier (better explosion = stronger burning), etc'
