I think my biggest problem is armour and resistances. I'm a level 50 2h marauder and I can get my flicker strike to over 5000 dps which normally would 1 shot all except rare mobs (some blues can survive because of extra health mod). And yes I am the required level for the zones I am in.
The problem is that the same thing happens to me. I have about 1000 health and have potions that heal me for about 800. Yet some mobs can take me to half health in 1 hit. I have about 1500 armour so it's not low and my reistances are 70% lightning, 70% fire and 50% cold. If I get surrounded there is nothing I can do except die. My potions will never heal me fast enough even if I have 4 mobs attacking me at once. I use sweep with massive life steal but it's just too slow to regain anything significant. IMO: I think the damage should be lowered for everything so that i don't 1 hit everything and they don't 2 hit me. For the people who tell me to get more health gain per hit or blood magic: That creates another problem because it then forces all the marauders to go into that passive skill which is extremely boring if all marauders have no choice in skills. |

You have 1000 life, 1500 armor and high resistances and get 2 shot at level 50. A freaking marauder. Try a witch for once, you'll have less health and no armor at all and then you'll know what rage means. This game is really hard!

Goodluck out there. reduction = armour / (armor + 12*damage) Damage of 500 vs 10,000 armor 62.5% Damage of 1000 vs 10,000 armor 45.5% Damage of 1500 vs 10,000 armor 35.7% Damage of 500 vs 15000 armor 71.4% Damage of 1000 vs 15000 armor 55.5% Damage of 1500 vs 15000 armor 45.5% Modulate -Skullfuck , tune to play POE
