Only if your attackspeed is higher then your recast rate.

with 2.0.0 cyclone got a mimium travel distance, so attackspeed isnt that bad anymore.

Is inc aoe + conc effect really better than Added fire + Wed or something?

Mmm maybe not wed since we don't run aura's. But maybe Added fire + inc aeo and then swtich to conc for bosses or sth.

Or added fire + phys to lightning

I setup my Marauder (LVL84 atm) with your Guide, and it works pretty well. I got lucky with a Devoto's for 5C because it was a corrupted one, normal ones go from 20C - 2EX, you might want to point that out in the first post.
I am now saving up for an Atziri's Disfavour, and have gotten to a Budget of around 5 EX. Before I blindly spend my entire time saving up those 20-30 Exalts, I would be pleased, if you could have a look at my current gear to see if there are any improvements I could rather do with my budget now, which I might have overlooked.



I use a Blood Dance I found for more regen and a Vengeance Trigger Setup for more healing and Endurance Charges. As soon as my Haku is level 7, I will reroll that LS roll on my gloves to get to 0,4%. I swap in a Concetrated Effect for the IAOE for bosses, I like the bigger area more for general mapping, even though I might loose some damage over an Added Fire Damage gem.

Gear looks fine so far. Getting a disfavour isnt nessecary with that axe, you will feel the difference though. Blood dance are fine as boots. Myself, I prefer to go with rare boots with res.

Perhaps a bit off-topic but ill ask since OP and thread posters seems to know the mechanics quite well.

Would a reverse of this strategy be viable? Using a very fast attack setup combined with gear that has slow movement speed? This way of cycloning would be much cheaper when it comes to resource usage since the "cyclone sequence" would take a long time to terminate ie more cyclone per mana spent. Perhaps leap attack could be used for movement.
