2) The Steam Achivemente are clear: only 44.7% of the players get to kill Brutus (over 50% of players quit even before), only 37.7% of players kill Merveil and only 14.6% of the players finish the game in Normal difficutly. More of the 85% of the players who started playing PoE have never seen Cruel difficulty. I think the problems of the game are different, and i am convinced that the percentages mentioned above will not changes much after the release of 1.3. The game is dying.
This kinda took me by surprise, considering how simple Brutus & Merveil are on Normal mode. (Yeah, even Dominus is easy in Normal mode.) Are there really that many people who don't realize you can't stand in one place through the whole fight? I'm curious as to where you got these figures.

Go go power rangers!

On a side note, it's quite sad to see so many nerfs and pretty much no buffs, but we'll see how all that will turn out.

These figures are from steam ... http://steamcommunity.com/stats/PathofExile/achievements/
I don't think it's necessarily that people struggle with the fights and quit, more that they lose interest in the game too quickly and quit.

Ahh, that makes more sense. :) This game is definitely not for everyone. Thanks for the clarification, and good hunting, friend.

God look at all the QQ. XD
Did you really forget what it says about this game in the furst few lines you read about it?
It is a HARDCORE game for HARDCORE gamers, jesus your build was stupidly overpowered and one-shot everything, and you complain about it being nerfed "into the ground"?
You guys are pathetic, Chris himself said that changes in the meta are good. Why don't you just enjoy the feeling of being challenged again?! The constant adrenaline rush from the fear of running into something that just snaps your chars neck?
You do not understand this game... if you really love crit that much then find a way to make it work until the point where you can have the game be your little bitch. But if you look for a 1 click adventure wherr everything explodes into gore when you walk by.... you know what to do.
Alt QQ and go play Diablo 3, you wont be missed.
I agree that the changes are needed, but there's no need to insult people simply because they disagree with you.
There's a fine line between fanaticism and fanboyism.
Hardcore game? hahaha why? cuz a feature of the game is named hardcore? I wonder what would happen if the league was called "pony".. "hi im a pony-player, cuz i play PoE"

I have to disagree with all the problems people seem to have with the nerfs. If anything, I wish they nerfed more skills just to further level the playing field. (flameblast specifically)
***Though i do agree that it would be nice if some shittier skills got some love to offset the nerfs.

Yeah. I mean think about your first two hours of the game as a noon to ARPGs - you struggle to get the mana to even sustain the skill gem you found on the beach, you don't even have the scrolls to ID the blue items you find, and you open the skill tree and it has 1,000 interconnected nodes.
The game is tiny in terms of player base. And part of that is that if you're new to the genre, it starts really slow. Racers =\= new players at low levels, and if none of the lowbies turn into endgame players, the game stagnates and dies regardless of how GGG balances end game content.

That's more a problem with steam/gamers' habits in general than POE specifically. People buy full price games and barely spend half an hour on them before jumping to the next one, let alone a F2P title.
