PvP Manifesto Post and Patch Notes Teaser

How will this new counterattacks work? Are they automatic and don't interrupt your current attack (as Molten Shell for example)? Do they have a duration, or do you have to manually trigger them (really hope not)?

"Metas rotate all the time, eventually the developers will buff melee"
PoE 2013-2018
What a surprise. The meta changes slightly with the coming of a new patch. Who would have thought? Certainly not the usual crybabies I see flicking through this thread. :D

All I can say is, stellar work as always, I look forward to playing the new season and patch! I was a bit disappointed in Rampage (and Beyond to some extent) but these new challenge leagues seem like a throwback to the glory of Ambush/Nemesis. Keep up the good work!
IGN : Jovial
unwavering stance + vengeance = very low chance to counter attack i'm guessing.

Since the first minutes of playing this game it has been very clear to me that GGG tries to enforce complex active gameplay mechanics that requires thinking and strategy and not a game where everybody teleports around wearing enigma sending flying hammers demolishing anything with a single button. This patch is a step into a better direction.

Yeah man that would be totally annoying.

Added a new Dexterity Skill - Blink Arrow: Fires an arrow at the target destination. When the arrow lands, you are teleported to it and a clone is summoned at your old location. The clone is a minion that uses your bow and quiver. (Available from the Lost in Love quest for the Duelist, Ranger, Shadow and Scion.)

......oh

Purposely failed to see my point? Besides, there's already flicker strike and lightning warp around.

No, I think he purposefully pointed out the correlation to how suddenly popular Jah Ith Bering your armour with Blink Arrow and then using Blessed Hamm-Tornado Shot is going to become.
Bring back race seasons.
will the counter-skills reserve mana (like for example tempest shield) or do they act like cast when damage taken?

That, and pointing out the irony of a complaint in D2 that everyone had Enigma and just blinked around, saying how GGG is conscious of this, MEANWHILE ignoring yet another skill that lets players blink around.
Pre-constructed builds are a fabulous idea in so many ways. It reminds me a lot of pre-constructed decks in Magic the Gathering. I used those to teach so many players. It's a huge help to new players having a jumping off point to work from and hone piece by piece rather than building from scratch.
