I have a radeon 6750. I can't play in parties because the game will always freeze my computer without fail. I can't run maps and am forced to stop playing the game at this point. This should definitely be a priority for GGG if they don't want to lose more players.

I recently got a response from Rory stating that they are aware of the issue and have ordered Radeon cards to do some testing on them.
If you can send Rory details of the issue you are having with the card as well as your catalyst and driver versions it could help them try to reproduce the crash when they get the cards in their office Don't forget to drink your milk 👌

I have the same problem with HD7970. It was overclocked a bit. I thought something broke in my computer. This was after 10.5 or 10.6 patch. I just reformatted and used the same drivers with no overclock. There is no freezing now.

so in your case the overclocking was causing the crash?

its amd/radeon drivers not being optimized yet for the game most likely. 7850 has same issues. others with 7870 too.

a full install of radeon drivers can be tricky sometimes they do not really upgrade. for updating to 13.3x or whatever in the future
http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/amd_catalyst_13_3_beta_2_download.html a. control panel > system > device manager > right click the amd/radeon display adapter > uninstall > check the box to delete the driver b. control panel add/remove or programs/features > remove amd/radeon products c. if windows auto installs the video driver, uninstall it again following step A d. install the drivers like 13.3 beta > reboot e. reboot > did they install? if not install them again f. make sure the amd radeon display panel has version 13.3 or your correct version listed under software radeon panel > information > software should list 13.3 or your version installing NOTE: some users report this resolving their fps/freeze issues, for me it helps but i still have to run the client.exe in high priority mode and its still only 75% effective. Hello mates.I'm from Russia and english is not my language,but i have the power to read all 11 pages.have the some problem!holy sh1t i try ANY OPTION from 800*600 to MAX,any combo of shadows/resolution/texture(even go to options file and change 0-4) AND LOT OF ELSE!reinstall the game 3 times,fixing all what i can in CCC and still have 2 problems!
1st:i have those black screens,which topic starter have.mostly in party(i play only duo party)my sound and video are stop and only way it's a reboot pc with button 2nd:time by time i have game crash when i join lab.ONLY LAB FFS!have this prob with chamber of sins,but reinstall content.ggpk file help,but not with lab. trying to play any window mode-have the best time without crash with fullscreen mode i run at ati radeon 5450 hd win xp sp3 2gb ram YES i know i have very wooden pc,but it's enought for diablo3 with highest option SO WHY THE HELL I CAN'T PLAY POE at 800*600 and with texture_quality=4?ridicilous... Srsly,this game is so good,but those lab&pc crashes makes me and my mates sick!if everyone have a solution plz tell me P.S. will try today to play with --softwareaudio and will post helps or not\ P.S.S. hang on!someday we will play poe without any sh1t!
