Radeon 6XXX Card Making Game/Pc Freeze

I'm running a 6770 on win7 64bit with catalyst 12.10 and while group performance is poor, I haven't had any lockups.

I'm very hesitant to update my drivers after reading this (it was on my "to do" list)

if you arent getting lock ups i wouldnt touch the drivers for now.

Game running with --nosound

Tried every single possible solution - problem still occurs, I am getting fps spikes even when I enter location and cast aura, game is completly unplayable. Tried every single game setting

FIX PLEASE?! I am not going to buy shitty Nvidia card just for sake of your bad optimilisation for the game.

im thinking about picking up one of these just for PoE until the Radeon issue is fixed

Anyone know their cards well enough to tell me if this would be sufficient for PoE

I bit the bullet and ordered a ASUS GT650Ti BOOST 2GB.. now if that dosent work i think im gonna jump off a bridge(or something less dramatic)

didnt want to jinx it early but ive been playing without any lockups for about a week now with the new nvidia card. The problem was the Radeon card.

Glad it works. Do you think a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 2048MB will work as well?
My current card doesn´t support Pixel Shader 3.0, so I plan on buying the above mentioned card to be able to run PoE.

Any decent reviewed card from Nvidia should run the game well. For some reason my Radeon was forcing other processes to close while PoE was running.

I bought the gtx 650Ti Boost for under 200$ from new egg.If you can swing the extra little bit of $ for it i can personally guarantee that the 650 ti boost will run it at 60fps+ with all settings maxed out.

i dont know if this is related at all but i should also mention im getting NONE of the lag spikes alot of ppl seem to be experiencing. 100% smooth sailing over here.
