From what i see you think you're very smart and others are pretty dumb.
Every time I play a new game, I change my main password (the one which is very complicated to find even with brute force) and i change my email password too.
But hey, who cares about your damn advice or thinking. I was just pointing out that i'm a pretty safe user and that I have never been hacked before and I just suppose that in my opinion the authentificating server could be fool like it was before.
Thinking and knowing you haven't been hacked are two very different things. Only a fool would think they are safe because they use every technical measure available to protect themselves. In most cases the technology isn't the problem, it's the person sitting behind the screen using that technology that is.
You say you are a pretty safe user yet you violated a very simple rule: don't use the same password twice. It doesn't matter that you have a long and complicated pw. If you use it on more than one website/game/email/etc an attacker only needs to hack one of them to then have access to your other stuff.
And just because something (e.g. you getting hacked) hasn't happened to you before in a significant amount of time, it doesn't mean that it can't happen to you in the future. I'm sure the operators of Three Mile Island, Chernobyl and Fukushima were quite confident that based on their track record nothing serious could ever happen at their power plants. Yet here we are.
As I said before: could there be a security problem with GGGs servers? Yes. Is it more likely that the very few users that have been hacked are somewhat responsible themselves? Of course it is.

yea same story here , last night my friend told me about it , i logged of and before that i took some screenshots , and yea today all currency is gone my legendary 2h all orbs!
only proof i have is a screentshot thats all !
i worked today from 7am till 7pm and this is really not nice after a hard day of work !
i wait for maybe a refund of my currency otherwise its game over for me !
And maybe just a simple authenticator should work or by phone
it is low security, password and email are stored !
Authenticator is my vote anyway !!

I used the same password here than on my main email account and it has not been hacked what so ever even this night.
And how do you know your Email isn't compromised? If I were a hacker and had access to your Email account I wouldn't do a thing to it and instead hope that you do exactly what you did - use the same password on another website/game. Now I have access to that as well.
If people would stop being stupid and use unique passwords on every website/game then 90% of the "my account has been hacked" posts would go away.
Is it possible that GGGs servers get hacked? Of course. It happened to other companies and it can happen here too. But if that is the case here, why isn't the problem more widespread? Why aren't the top (and therefore wealthy) players the ones getting their stuff stolen?
If you have 100k accounts and a few hundred are hacked, what is more likely: That the company database is compromised or that the account info got stolen on an individual level out of control of the company?

Clearly, you aren't very safe. Someone before asked for a common factor between everyone who has been hacked. I'll point out a glaring obvious commonality. A lot of you seem to think you are perfect users and couldn't not possibly be blamed for fucking up. A lot of you are so quick to blame GGG.

We already know the cause. It's been said many times. Get over yourself.
