[1.3 Beyond/Bloodlines/Hardcore] "Budget" Ondar's AA Phys Wander aka. The Wandarcer

alright thank.. i to have always want to make a wander but most of the guides requided all the crazy gear.
Yup, most guides are extremely unrealistic if you're a new player, or a league player. The game just wont feel/look like it does in those guides, ever. In a league, you always have to do the best you can with very limited resources, and that's how this version came to be :)

Best of luck in the new leagues!

Hey, I'm currently leveling my witch in Torment (69 right now) towards this build. I know you say you need to have Rat's Nest, a shield with 1700 evasion, a wand with 150+ pDPS, and a chest with 400+ evasion and ES, but I was wondering, are those recommendations for starting mapping, or for progressing into higher level maps (like higher than 70 or 71)? For instance, if I wanted to switch over but didn't have Rat's Nest or the shield (I do have a perfect evasion Thousand Teeth Temu that dropped for me earlier), and my wand only had around 120 pDPS, should I still do ok in lower level maps? Do you think the clear speed would be less than what it is with Arc? I'm currently sitting at 3608 Arc DPS
While I don't think you have to follow my gear recommendations exactly, I think that's around the spot where Power Siphon eclipses Arc in clear speed by a good margin. If you have decent jewellery for added DPS, you would be fine respeccing earlier. Rat's Nest helps your DPS a lot.

You kind of need to be 75 to have enough DPS & survivability nodes for it to feel smooth, but if you want to experiment with respeccing earlier you should! :)

I've been busy playing Bloodlines, but will update this thread with more 1.3 info (including kinetic blast stuff) soon.

Thanks! I have a couple rings with decent physical damage rolls that I'll be using, even though they are lower level rings. One with 8-15, one with 9-15, and one with 9-13, so I'm doing pretty well on the ring front. While my arc clear speed isn't too bad, I've found that lightning resistant guy are really, really common, and it's a huge pain trying to deal with them

really fun build and really good guide! trying it out in sc atm and its working very well.
Hi!
After 2 days and 2 rips in the new league (argh...) I wanna try something different.
I have my mind set on building a CI char, hard as it may be. So I changed up your tree a bit and came up with this:

https://www.poebuilder.com/character/AAAAAgMA34rpAm0ZlSAtH8HzxShMs6Kjgh72W1AwBAd_xhSw2wtZvOvkEZbBxZphXyoHHg5I-u_Cc8fKlS5jQ13y_GRzcMlE8NVw1Uqan4i-7klRidOiBPbnP3NwUs5wbOcqCwmg8-q1SG1sBiM2Ped0H0HssOjWAx6MCyLqBbUWv7l8m7WNv-aBGYpRR8u9-wnnVDB89tok_X8rjDYaj__e1oo2xR8C4vcBb4t6w21ca4RIEVA1uR1PpysbJdlbS64vb9kTcLvsGCsKtvcHY0cG8uFfatvnpzT2_L46EHvbGsHVpHje-BEvVmMV14auLL8nqQ==

Do you think it's feasible at all?
I realize a 119pt tree isn't realistic, but what do you think about it in general? Would wear pure ES or hybrid EV/ES gear (I bought some CI gear already...)
I'm not 100% sure going down to Ondar's is worth it, even though it is an amazing keystone.

I took the Influence cluster so I'll be able to run 3x 60% (disc - grace - hatred) + HoA in endgame.
I think with CI you would need dream fragment with those frozen sky packs
Yes of course, I'll need either Dream Fragments or an Auxium - Auxium being perfect for this build. I'll also have to wear Eye of Chayula for stuns.

I've now pretty much decided on this tree:
https://www.poebuilder.com/character/AAAAAgMA34rpAm0ZlSAtH8HzxShMs4Ie9ltQMAQHf8YUsFm86-QRlsHFmmFfKgceDkj678Jzx8qVLmNDXfL8ZHNwyUTw1XDVSpqfiL7uSVGJ06IE9uc_c3BSznBs5yoLCaDz6rVIbWwGIzY953QfQeyw6NYDHowLIuoWv7l8m7UZivsJ9toajzbFHwLi9wFvi3rDbVxrhEgRUDW5HU-nKxsl2VtLri9v2RNwu-wYKwq290cG8uFfatvnpzT2_L46EHvbGhEvVmMV14auLL8nqfRxQ1Qd2YhC_xxvhDqttMU=

Ditching Ondar's for now (too many points) and grabbing the shield nodes next to Ghost Reaver. 80% increased defenses from a high ES shield is a lot, plus the extra block chance won't hurt, in case I decided to wear Rainbowstrides or something.

Why would I need VP with going CI? Huge ES, Evasion and Chain should make it fairly reflect-safe, no?

Life Leech comes from Blood Rage and Gear (3L Blood Rage - Vaal Discipline - inc. Duration)

Why not acro? No points on block.. I know that will reduce the mana pool, but sounds reasonable for me.

Blood drinker (2% mana leech) sounds better than Soul siphon

I was thinking in a meta of wander with pierce nodes and projectile weakness instead of using chain, what you people can tell me about this?

Edit: i was thinking in other meta with physical to lightning and nodes like tempest blast and arcing blows, ondar + acro and lightning coil
